Summary: Well, not great...yet
Review: Brooke is a completely new version of Butterfly, however there is one large difference, more of which I will come to later. Pamela Thompson wants to live through Brooke, by making her into a beauty queen, just like she was. Brooke, however, just wants to play softball for the private girl's school she attends. Peter Thompson, Pamela's husband is proud of Brooke's accomplishments on the field, but he can't help her at home, Pamela definitely runs the house. Eventually, Brooke, unlike Butterfly refuses to give in to Pamela's desire to take over her personality, has to leave the home after causing Pamela to age....or have a nervous breakdown.

Better than the first two, not as good as Raven, but definitely getting there. Please editor, work harder...

Summary: Familiar re-hash yet somehow addictive
Review: But of course, that could describe all of Andrew Neiderman's writing's under the V.C. Andrews name. This book was very similar to Dark Angel, the second book in the Heaven series, in that the female adult figure was worried about her age and her beauty and the male adult figure worried about his business and showing off his house. This book also sounds like all the other Orphan series books in that it starts out with the girl going to a really fabulous house and being disbelieving, and then ends with the girl having to leave due to tragic circumstances. Is it getting old yet? Yes. Thank goddess there's only one more! And, yes, I'll probably read it anyway. The characterization in these novels is getting a little better, but still needs work. I guess I'm waiting around for the fine-tuning to be perfected and the originality to take over. Has anyone thought about whose point of view Runaways is going to be told from? If all the books are first person, and all fo! ur girls get their own prequel, is Runaways going to break the pattern and be third person or are we going to have to be satisfied with only one of the girls' perspectives? Guess it won't be long before we find out.

Summary: A Short Story with a predictable ending.
Review: I didn't really like Butterfly, but I loved Crystal. Brooke wasn't very good either. The author barely gave the character a chance to growand it was too predictable. I hope that Raven is better. I can't wait for this series to end. The Logan series was much better. I wish that the ghost writer wouldn't waste his time with these short stories. I finished Brooke in less than two hours. Hopefully the next series will be better. Maybe Runaways will be more satisfying.

Summary: Perfect
Review: I have read the whole orphan series. Butterfly, Crystal, Brooke, Raven and of course Runaways. I enjoy V. C. Andrews. This is a series that will bring in a younger generation of readers. Brooke is about an orphan who finally finds adoptive parents, and learns from then that even with parents you can still be alone in this world. I recommend this whole series . I feel that teenagers would get the most out of this series. Yet I do recommend it to all readers, Especially parents of teens. Teen life has much turmoil and this series can show you the extreme that you may not have experienced.

Summary: Kind of short, the same storyline as the last two, but good.
Review: I was exited to see that Brooke was out, as I am exited about every new book published under Andrew's name. I read it in one day, but it wasn't boring whatsoever. I think all three books' storylines are the same: a poor girl goes with a family, they are happy, and the mother is always obsessed about something, and that is usually the reason why the girl leaves, except in Crystal. I really love how the girls are coming together one by one. I can hardly wait for Runaways. I hope it will prove to be really good. I also can't wait for Raven, though the story line seems a little different than the first three, since the other girls don't really remember their mothers. I do agree that all of V.C. Andrews' book are the same. But I love all of them anyway.

Summary: Exceptional!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: The Orphan series is nothing like Fear Street stories at all. As a reader of both the above mentioned series I can assure you there is not even a trace of Stine in these Orphan series. I like it that way to because if I wanted to read Stine Then I would buy Stine. Brooke, is a wonderfully written story. I can't wait to continue on with this series which is totally unlike any Fear Street book I have ever read. So read this book if you want a nice intresting story to read. It is a little similar to the first book Butterfly but they were both good so don't mess with success right! Besides Brooke was much more head strong than Butterfly so eventhough there circumstances were similar there seperate personalities caused different outcomes in the stories. So in conclusion read Brooke and enjoy it!

Summary: The orpah series is great don't forget to check out runaway!
Review: This book is excellant I read all the series including Butterfly,Raven,Crystal,And Runaways. These books are all totally AWESOME I could read them over and over you'll love them you can also check them out at your local library but I myself would suggest you buy them now while you can get them and V.C. Andrews has more than just these 5 thrillers she is loaded with fantastic books. Books that make you never want to stop reading them. Beleive me I'm only 13 and loved all of her books I have now read most of her series of books and also recommend the logan Series.

Summary: Wowzers good book!
Review: This book was obviously aimed at young teens and pre-teens, which alienates all of V.C.'s older fans that she has earned over the years. Of course, I had to buy it anyway.
I felt that Brooke's story would have been much more interesting had it been put in a longer book. Also, the book was a complete rehash of Butterfly. Extremely trite and predictable, yet better than Butterfly or Crystal. I wouldn't recommend this book for adults, not even die-hard fans of V.C. Save your money and buy the full-length Runaways instead.
