Summary: Fascinating and Thought Provoking Book
Review: This is the first Ben Bova book that I've read, so I cannot compare it to his earlier works like some other reviewers. That said, I found this book to be very interesting. I liked it a lot and I thought it was a very enjoyable read."Jupiter" does not have the hard core science that I typically like in science fiction novels (like Red Mars) but Bova creates an interesting enviornment for a planet we don't know a whole bunch about. With the enviornment he creates he does apply the science (such as fluid dynamics and the chemistry behind the atmosphere) very well, even though it may not be the actual case in reality. As for the morality and religious implications in the book, they are few and far between. I forgot a few times the original reason why Grant went to Jupiter in the first place, but it wraps up nicely without being overly offensive to either side of the belief system. All in all, I highly recommend "Jupiter." It is a quick read, it is interesting, and thought provoking.
