Summary: Look for a career; not a job.
Review: A job is something that you have to do. A career is something that you love. Rather than trying to find a job to please your family, friends and other people, you should be out there making a career for yourself. This book is an inspiration for those who are seeking for a niche in their career or are looking for a future career. Canfield's Chicken Soup For the Soul at Work really touches the heart and warm the part that is damaged by negative media coverage of the job market.

Summary: Very sentimental but still worthwhile
Review: First of all, just to get things off of my chest (and believe you me, I usually LOVE getting everything off of my chest right off the bat!) Item! Jack Canfield is an excellent and gifted motivational writer. Golly, he has motivated me to write a review, right? However, this time around old Jack's soup could use a little salt or herbage to his advice. If you ask anyone where I work, I am always promoting Chicken Soup for the Soul stories however I didn't find these all that courageous or creative. I mean, what is creative or daring about a woman who builds an entire miniature of her office environment in her cubicle using Beanie Babies for each of her coworkers. And what bigger point was Jack trying to point out about the manager who tried to motivate his daily reports by having them act out scenes from "A Room With a View" before they started their shift each day? Kind of lost me this time, Mr Canfield!

Summary: An endless source of stories that continually inspire
Review: I run a leadership programme and I find this book a source of stories that will encourage, inspire, recharge and generally "activate" people. I use my book whenever I sense the attention of the group is flagging, and the stories never fail to get a reaction!

Summary: Start your day right with some encouraging words and thought
Review: I think that all of us at some time or another felt like staying in bed or staying away from our work place. We still showed up under obligation. I think if you read some of the stories and thoughts in this book it will make your day go just a bit easier. Why not start the day with some encouragement and a smile? Afterall, we all do better work when we actually care about what we are doing. I think that this book reminds us not to lose site of why we are doing what we are doing.

Summary: Nice, Inspiring little book
Review: Nice, inspiring little book. I work for an elected official who is a tyrant. I wish I'd seen this book 3 yrs ago! But, fortunately, it's cheered me up enough to get through the next 2 months as he was just defeated in his bid for re-election. (Yippeee!)

Summary: I LOVE THIS BOOK!
Review: The Chicken Soup series is always a pleaser, but seriously, I've gotten so many of them as gifts etc. Do I really need to read 303 wonderful stories? I'm almost getting numb to them. One book is plenty. Every one seems to offer quality soups and plenty of recognizable people to add credit to the story. I recommend any of the books, but don't recommend going crazy and buying anymore than one or two. The material/message just gets a little repetitive after a while.

Summary: First few tastes are delicious. Any more and it gets bland.

Summary: Very sentimental but still worthwhile
Review: This tape was my first experience of the Chicken Soup series. I had heard of Mark Victor Hansen from the One Minute Millionaire book.
The first thing that struck me was how awfully - there's only one way to put this - American the tape is. Beneath the slightly patronising (perhaps only to non-American ears) delivery the stories are indeed worthwhile even though some suffer from being over-sentimental.
Recommended.
