Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: True Devotion was a wonderful and quick read. Kelly and Joe's relationship was handled beautifully and Kelly's anticipation of, and subsequent reaction to, Joe's kiss was electric. Ms. Henderson knows how to suggest a sexual tension without making it about sex...a skill I appreciate as a reader and moderate prude. Normally, I wouldn't include the topic of sex in a review of a Christian book, but I truly *felt* a desire between these two characters more than I have in most of her other works...and yet it wasn't a lusty desire, simply the need to share in eachother's lives. Very masterfully handled.I also found her description of the water scenes and the SEAL missions to be vivid and exciting. Personally for me the low point of the book was towards the end concerning Charles, but this was resolved quickly and we were treated to another well-written situation. Great book! Highly recommended.
Rating: Summary: Outstanding Reading Review: True Devotion, I think, is the best of the Uncommon Heroes series, and mixes just the right amount of romance, mystery, and intrigue. I have read it 4 - 5 times and frankly, it gets better with each read. Her characters literally come to life and you can identify with them personally. I love this book, and I have given it as a gift many times. I highly recommend it for exciting Christian reading. (So nice to be able to read a love story where courting is involved, and you didn't blush your way through the book. Thanks, Ms. Henderson
