Rating: Summary: All women should read this Review: This book is so helpful in any "problem solving" situation - like dealing with my teenaged son, as I am currently in the midst of. I plan on using Lis' techniques with my boss, family, contractor. Very useful advice, and funny, too.
Rating: Summary: practical and a good read Review: This is a book full of great, easy to use ideas. But the best part is that it's a good read. Very engaging. The success stories are really interesting. Highly recommend if you want to succeed.
Rating: Summary: EMPOWERING Review: What makes this book special is that the first half is the how to, the second half tells the stories of people who've used these skills to win. The author conveys a great message of empowerment--starting out with figuring out what it is you really want and figuring out who you can go to (juror) that can help you achieve it. This book has me approaching my problems--everyday problems--in a much more calm, logical way. I recommend this book to anyone--whether you want to get a raise or raise your children.
Rating: Summary: Interesting reading Review: When you reach that point in your life wherein the advice in this book is already ingrained, you wish you would have read it years prior to having learned these same lessons the hard way.
With this book providing your strategy a complementary book, "Law 101" by Jay M Feinman, can supply you with the factual ammunition you need.
Rating: Summary: Lawyers should save their advice for their clients. Review: With a very engaging, pleasant voice, Lis Wiehl has written a very helpful, very concise book with extremely useful advice explaining how to win any argument when you know you're in the right. Lis gives great concrete examples and makes the process even simpler by breaking down a lawyer's trial process into basic, easy-to-use steps. I highly recommend this book.
