Summary: Anthem, a confusing but highly provocative novel
Review: Anthem was a very different and defiant book. I felt that the themes were extremely interesting, and made me think a lot about the validity of society's values.

Summary: I loved this book: here's why
Review: I love the book Anthem by Ayn Rand. I thought the idea of all individualism is a great one. I live my life by it. Now when someone asks me a favor I tell them to do it themselves because "I" is better than the "we." Also, I try to get everyone to do everthing for me, because I am the most important thing in the universe. Then they say this belief contradicts my first belief, and I say it doesn't because the great "I" is always right. And, since I am more important than everyone else, I go to various banks and business asking them to give me their money. I have been arrested 22 times but have overturned each conviction on appeal by pleading insanity. I have also escaped 27 different mental hospitals and have been a member of 31 different terrorist organizations around the world.

Summary: Excellent
Review: Wonderful plot with an interesting view on communism. This terrific book describes a society in which all individuallity is elliminated. This book sends the message that people's ideas should never be controlled.

Summary: Anthem is a good book.
Review: I think that Anthem was a good book because it was unlike most books I have read in the past. I liked the way the author showed the progress of Equality 7-2521's thoughts and independence throughout the story. In the beginning, he merely thought of how he wished to be more than a street sweeper, but then he acted on his instincts. He believed that he had potential, and could contribute positively to The Council of Scholars, but it turned out that they did not want his input at all. I also liked how Equality 7-2521 told of his future plans, and I think he will end up being the founder of a new nation once he gets enough support from his fellow people. However, in the end of the book when we learn that the secret word is "Ego" i don't think that it was a good one to have. it should have been "I" because i think that ego is very much related to the word "I", but a little more to the point.

Summary: Anthem: A book about individualism
Review: Anthem by Ayn Rand is a good book. It talks about individualism in the world by showing us how the world would be without individualism. The book also shows us what not to become like in the future; the setting of Anthem. The book is very much like The Giver, and 1984. if you like those books, you should definitely read Anthem.

Summary: This book explores the importance of identity
Review: In the dark days of the future, the world has begun again... Such is the premise of Ayn Rand's "Anthem". What strikes me is how terrible the "higher power" acts. They sentence Equality to death for causing a potential inconvenience. The message of Anthem is clear: it's good, imperative , to be different.

Summary: "It is a sin to write this."
Review: Oh yes, it is a great sin to write this. NOT, Ayn Rand truly has accomplished greatness. From "The Fountainhead," and "Atlast Shrugged," to her mutliple non-fictional works, "Anthem" falls on the top. But if you enjoy "Anthem" Rand's works are a must read. Rand truly encourages us as individuals to find liberation in our own minds and not to give into the "collective", now that's something to keep in mind. Oh yes one more thing, Objectivism is one great philosophy, keep it alive, read Rand's books!

Summary: very good psych book
Review: I was assigned this book by my psych teacher because she said it was very intreaging, personally it could have been a little bit longer.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A very inspiring and thought provoking novel
Review: Ayn Rand did a great job on this novel. It really shows the determination of the human spirit and that there is no taming the individual. We are each our own person and being forced to be what we are not obviously can not be done. I will read it again and again over the years and I recommend it to anyone who loves a good philisophical novel.
