Summary: Side-splitting installment delivers huge laughs
Review: Have you asked yourself if Stephanie Plum's adventures could get any funnier? With HOT SIX, the answer to that is a resounding yes! Stephanie Plum, intrepid bounty hunter, has a problem (or two or three) in this hilarious installment. Her sexy mentor, Ranger, is wanted by the police for questioning with regard to a murder in which he was caught on videotape at the crime scene. Stephanie isn't the only person wanting to find him. There's also Steph's off-again/on-again boyfriend/cop Joe, Mitchell and Habib, two of the least competent thugs in the business and, of course, Steph's boss, Vinnie, who hates losing all that bail bond money. As if Ranger's situation wasn't enough to put Stephanie in a tizzy, she acquires two more roommates -- Grandma Mazur and Bob, the golden retriever with an eating disorder. How many cars will Stephanie demolish? Will she give into Ranger's considerable temptation? Will Joe lose his fear of commitment? Will Lula shoot someone? It's testimony to Janet Evanovich's considerable storytelling skills that not only do you care about the answers to such questions, you fervently wish these people existed! With breakneck pacing, sharp dialogue, highly imaginative and hilarious plot developments, and a vibrant cast of characters, HOT SIX is another winner in this terrific series.

Summary: Hot Six has me clamoring for Lucky Seven.
Review: After High Five left me feeling like I was hanging...five, I was concerned that Hot Six would leave me feeling Deep Sixed. Not on your life. Ms. Evanovich weaves a tapestry of interwoven plot-lines and kaleidoscopic characters like no other. A colleague of mine called it Plum pudding, but to my untrained palate, a dish peppered with spicy characters and sweet revenge can only be called one thing...honey and spice pudding. In the past two years, I have only read one other book that rivals this one, and, because it is a true story, I would give the nod to the other. The book is called "Inside Job: Deep Undercover as a Corporate Spy," and it is the most colorful tale I have ever read on the subject of private investigators...fictional or otherwise. Do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of both of these compelling recipes for crime. Combined, they're your lucky Seven.

Summary: Hot Six Rocks
Review: My copy arrived June 20th in the mail. Started reading almost immediately and had to force myself to put it down and turn out the light. Went back to it this morning and just finished it. This is Stephanie's best adventure. Loved the humor that is intermingled in it. Lula and grandmom make this story a hoot. Can't wait for the next one to hit the bookstore.

Summary: Stephanie Plum rocks!
Review: Yes, we do get to find out who was at the door - and right away, too.

However, the story picks up five months later when Stephanie is told by her bail bondsman cousin Vinnie that Ranger has failed to appear and either she goes after him (or Ranger goes after Stephanie, morelike) or Vinnie will give the case to archenemy Joyce Barnhardt.

As if this weren't enough, Stephanie has to cope with her new roommate, Grandma Mazur, whose presence puts a cramp in Stephanie's style.

Ranger is accused of killing someone and then setting fire to a building, where the dead man was found later. Stephanie doesn't believe he did it, but until she figures out what is really going on, Ranger is a hunted man.

Hot Six does not disappoint, whatever your feelings about who was at the door may be. Steph's got feelings for both Joe Morelli and Ranger, and now we have to wait another year for the next installment in this priceless series. The irrepresible Grandma Mazur is here, as are Lula and Connie, the bunch of schmucks Stephanie has to deal with as she goes about her business. I love these books!

Summary: Half of America will not be dissapointed.
Review: I grabbed Hot Six out of the UPS delivery man's hands and expected to skim the beginning to find out how the last book ended. I ended up finishing it 4 hours later because I could not put it down. Janet Evanovich had a difficult task writing Hot Six. Readers were divided on who Stephanie chose in the ending of her last book High Five. Half of America expects to be dissapointed when they find out if it is Ranger or Morelli because our girl, Stephanie, needs to make a decision! Janet Evanovich successfully resolved Stephanie's dilema. No matter how you wanted the last book to end Hot Six is very entertaining. I was impressed with how interesting the new characters are that Stephanie encounters in Hot Six. It was wonderful to see all of my old friends from previous books. Janet Evanovich has a gift for making characters come alive. The people she creates are like people we all know, but alot more interesting. Great book.

Summary: Hot, Hot, Hot!
Review: I have read all the books in this series, and this is the best, yet. Her characters are believeable, even when they are involved in downright unbelievable activities. Grandma M. just keeps getting funnier, if that's possible, and the addition of the golden retriever, Bob, is perfect. Janet E. has the ability to take a sentence and make it hilarious or steamy with a simpleness which is charming. This is a MUST summer read... I wish she wrote faster; It's tough waiting all year for the next one...

Summary: Fantastic!
Review: In this latest Stephanie Plum outing Janet Evanovich has a definite winner. This was probably one of the funniest Stephanie Plum books yet. The writing was snappy and refreshing. The usual cast of unusual characters was as entertaining as ever. I truly enjoyed this book and I anxiously await the next one. Thanks Janet!

Summary: Stephanie Plum Strikes Again!
Review: I laughed until I cried! Although I was really surprised at the resolution of the end of "High Five" (I would have bet money on the other guy), the story picks up with Janet Evanovich's usual zest and rockets forward. After reading "High Five," I wondered whether this series were "chick" books, so I had my husband read the books. He enjoyed them a lot, and I know he'll like "Hot Six" just as much.
