Rating: Summary: The funniest one of the bunch Review: After waiting almost a year to find out who Stephanie ends up with, I anxiously read the prologue and felt satisfaction. I wasn't sure whether it would be worth it to read the rest of the book, but after finishing it, I realized it was the funniest one of the bunch. I wish there was more mystery to this one, though. I figured out the ending early on. Plus there wasn't as much sexual tension as in the previous books. But it was a good story and Janet's humor is superb. She writes with such great detail, it's easy to picture exactly what she's writing about. If you liked the others in the series, you're sure to enjoy this one! Can't wait for #7.....
Rating: Summary: Hot Six Review: Evanovich starts off right where she left us in High Five. It's a good thing she gets that over with from the beginning because from the revelation of who is at the door (no spoiler here), she takes the reader running through a laugh-out-loud bounty hunting extravaganza that involves the usual suspects as well as a couple of surprises. The doper ex-high school classmates that drop in and out of scenes are a funny and picturesque addition. Most of the neighborhood derelicts are pretty hilarious but one of my favorite characters has to be Lula, who carries some of the best one-liners in the story. The sexual tension between the protagonist and (oh, I just can't say) is never compromising or unwavering. Evanovich is never cute -- only cutting, and as strong as ever. I especially enjoyed her pulling Grandma into this one because Grandma (spandex and all) is looking for her own adventures when she moves in with Stephanie. There was only one time I had to say, "no, Stephanie, don't be so stupid." Other than that, she is just as smart and savvy as ever and her cast of characters (especially Bob) is doggone good!
Rating: Summary: Stephanie Plum is back and better than ever! Review: I just finished Hot Six, the newest Stephanie Plum novel and she is back with a vengance! This book starts exactly where High Five left off with the reader waiting to see who will show up at her door, the cop Joe Morelli or the mysterious Ranger. In this book, Stephanie runs into the usual assortment of wacky New Jersey criminals, including a wife-killer who is determined to get off by insanity and two Pakistani jokesters who are trying to get information that Stephanie doesn't have. Sexy Ranger is on the run for a murder he didn't commit (or did he?) and Stephanie's relationship with Joe is a mystery we are all trying to figure out. The mystery in this book was a little convoluted, there were so many bad guys involved from different groups that they all ran together. But the relationships between Stephanie, Joe and Ranger are very funny and sexy. Lulu steps in as Stephanie's sidekick as well as her new roommate...Grandma! We're also introduced to a slew of new neighborhood characters and old enemies make an appearance as well. This book was light and entertaining and a quick read. The relationships and the humor were better defined than the actual mystery, but the read is so much fun, that you don't care. If you are new to the series, you might want to read an earlier book to get caught up on the relationships and fans of Stephanie Plum won't be dissapointed.
Rating: Summary: Possibly the best one in the Series Review: I absolutely love this book. It kept me on the edge of my seat (well, most of them have), and its a fast read (all of them are). The plot was brilliant, and the ending was just as good. And of course, it was chock full of sexual inuendos, Lula, and Steph's weird ways of apprehending her FTA's. Its a great read.
Rating: Summary: Another Awesome Book by Janet Evanovich! Review: This book was awesome, the last book left a few strings lose which credit goes out to Janet for here tactfulness. This book not only gives you a good rush, like all of the other ones, which are so known for doing. It also ties up the lose ends and answers the qusetions which arose from her last. The book, I finished it in no time. I couldn't put it down. And now that I'm done I want more! So hurry up Janet! Anyways, I'd give this book six stars, but there wasn't a six star rating, so I guess I'll have to settle for five *pooh* ~Thanxs
Rating: Summary: Hot Six is HOT! Review: I have been eagerly awaiting this book all year and it was worth the wait. Stephanie Plum is back and her job is to help find Ranger who is wanted for murder. This book has the usual wacky characters that keep me laughing out loud.Grandma Mazur is a hoot as usual trying to get her drivers liscence and moving in and cramping Stephaine's style. The pace is quick and the dialogue snappy and crisp. I highly recommend it to everyone!
Rating: Summary: I am PLUM crazy! Review: So I bought "Hot Six" just to see what happened when Stephanie made the infamous phone call at the end of "High Five"! "Hot Six" was everything all the other books were: sassy, fast and leaving me wondering what else author Janet Evanovich has up her sleeve. I had doubts as to the outcome of Ranger's predicament, but then, with heroine Stephanie Plum and her assorted cohorts and antagonists, anything can and usually does happen. Back in "Hot Six" are ex-ho' Lula and Stephanie's eccentric Grandma Mazur. Also back is Joyce Barnhart, Stephanie's arch-enemy. Die-hard Plum fans will thoroughly enjoy Stephanie's latest adventure and get caught up in Ms. Plum's heart-stopping life-style. Stephanie may leave her gun home in the cookie jar, but danger follows her around (literally). Ranger or Morelli? It doesn't matter, either choice is dangerous. Read the book. It is thoroughly enjoyable!
Rating: Summary: Hot Six is Evanovich's best book yet! Review: I really love this book! Its definetly Evanovich's best book yet! Its hilarious and a real page turner. I couldn't put it down!
