Summary: By Far the Very Best
Review: Like a fine vintage wine, Janet Evanovich is getting much, much better with age - or at least Stephanie is. Janet has outdone herself with this book. A wonderful combination of excitement, elements of danger and some really, truly funny moments. This book is a fast read - you will want to find our more about what each of the characters are doing. This book also introduces us to some of the funniest folks - especially the dog, move over Rex. I really enjoyed this book and have recommended it to many and shared my copy with family and friends.

Summary: Hot Six is funny!
Review: This is the sixth book in the series about Trenton, New Jersey's appealingly inept bounty hunter, Stephanie Plum. In this latest escapade, she is searching for her friend and fellow bounty hunter, Ranger, a man who definitely marches to the beat of different drum. Ranger is also sought by the police for questioning in the murder of an organized crime figure. Consider the fact that a couple of men from organized crime are tailing Stephanie in the hopes that she will lead them to her elusive friend, do you only just begin to understand her confusion. Our inept Stephanie believes Ranger is innocent and if anything, only kills bad guys. Her search is complicated by her obvious attraction to him, and simultaneously to her sometime lover, a vice cop named Joe Morelli. Add to that Stephanie's somewhat senile and lovable grandmother who has moved in with her granddaughter after a fight with her son-in-law, as well as a hamster who seems to be the most sensible character in the book, and a variety of unexpected mishaps, and the reader will laugh herself all the way to solving the mystery. Neat Book!

Summary: Six is great!
Review: I love this book. I laughed out loud many a time while reading this book. Many authors can be humorous or take you to the edge of your seat (page) but few can do both. Out of all of her books, I cannot say which I like more, but I can say I do like them all.

Summary: NOT THE SAME...
Review: I could not wait for the new book...well, I must be honest and say, it is not as good as previous books. There are very funny moments but it seem that Janet Evanovich is trying to make every moment funny, which gets boring after a while.

I will still buy # seven, but PLEASE Janet add more substance!

Summary: The suspense is killing me
Review: I have yet to read Hot Six but I cannot wait to read it. I have read all of the other Stephanie Plum books and have recommended it to a friend who read the first one and then went out and bought the whole set. All the books are fantastic, I wish I had a Ranger . Grandma Mazur is fantastic I wish I had a grandma like that.I can't wait to read Hot Six cos it's not out here yet and you and I both know that I will be getting it as soon as it comes out here. So over all, all the Stephanie Plum books are abosolutely 100% fantastic ,funny ,fabulous so read them!!!.

Summary: I laughed out load
Review: Really, I did. In fact, my husband kept asking me what was so funny. Stephanie and her motley crew kept me snickering once again. I usually read for entertainment and that exactly what this book was. I read the review that thought that Stephanie had not grown through the series and I can't disagree. However, as they say:"This ain't rocket science". It is however a good roller coaster ride of craziness.

Summary: You Go Girl!
Review: I have read all of the Stephanie Plum books as to date! And I have got to tell you that there is no other woman that I can relate to as well as her! The sex (so to spesk) is outrageous, the characters are so identifiable! And, I for one can relate to having a bad hair day! She is every woman on PMS and then some! Thank God she has some hunky men in her life!

Summary: The Plum formula is wearing a little thin.
Review: On the one hand, this sixth book in the Stephanie Plum series has all the qualities of the previous five. Unfortunately, it also has all the same plot devices, with nothing new to enliven the mix. The novelty has worn off, and Stephanie is starting to look pretty shallow. What other grown woman is so devastated by a zit or so obsessive about sex? It's funny, but it's also getting pretty old.

The cliffhanger from the previous book is resolved with little fanfare and even less finesse, pretty much setting the tone for the entire book. The usual hijinks ensue with the usual crowd: Grandma Mazur, Lula, bumbling thugs (following her around, just like the last book!). None of this would be too bad if Stephanie herself would grow a little, but she's the same ol' Steph, sailing along without too much introspection.

I'm not even sure this book can be called a mystery, since very little sleuthing occurs, and the mystery is not so much solved as it is resolved. In the usual manner.

Summary: Stephanie Plum is at it again
Review: I discovered Janet Evanovich a few years ago and wait anxiously for the next adventure with Stephanie Plum (bond-enforcement agent) and gang. I love the way Evanovich can make us "see" the Trenton neighborhood and get involved with Stephanie's family and friends. I've never been anywhere near NJ, but I feel like I know the neighborhood and the families located there. The books make us feel like a part of Stephanie's misadventures. Joe Morelli is a perfect fit as the "James Dean" character, motorcycle and all. I continue reading because these are the only books that I have ever read which can make me laugh out loud. I can still remember funny scenes from the other books as if I read them yesterday instead of a couple of years ago. Stephanie continues her inept bounty hunting ways and adds two new sidekicks. Grandma Mazur moves in with Stephanie, and Ranger, another bond-enforcement agent is on the run for murder. I don't think the last two Stephanie Plum books had much of a story and were not as good as the earlier books. While I love all of the crazy antics, I'm hoping the next book will have a story with more "teeth" and a little less of the zany characters and antics.
