Review: Who Ranger or Joe?

Summary: A cackling delight...
Review: I bought this book last night, and finished it without putting it down once! I cackled all the way through. Another great one from Janet Evanovich -- I wish she could write them even faster!

Summary: Each a winner in itself
Review: I have read all of Ms. Evanovich's other Stephanie Plum books and I just have to say, "I LOVE THEM!!" Ms. Evanovich's style of writing and ability to conjure up the story-lines that she does are just a couple of the reasons why her books are among the favorites in my collection. Any author who can keep me glued to my seat for hours at a time just to see how it's all going to work out in the end deserves MUCH praise. Keep up the good work Ms. Evanovich. I hope you comtinue to produce many more Stephanie Plum books in the years to come....I just don't know how poor Ms. Plum is giong to survive them all - but she will, I'm sure of it.

Summary: THIS BOOK IS PURE ENTERTAINMENT!!!
Review: I was one of the lucky ones to get my hands on an advanced copy and tore right into it. The plot and characters are more plausible than recent Stephanie Plum plots and is as good, if not better than, "One for the money". The only drawback is that I'll be disappointed when I see it on the bookstore shelves and realize I've already read it. If only Janet could crank 'm out faster.......

Summary: A Plum of a tale
Review:

New Jersey-based bounty hunter Stephanie Plum must wonder what terrible deeds she performed in a previous life because her life is definitely spinning out of control. On Monday, Grandma Mazur insists Stephanie needs to find Uncle Fred, who vanished on Friday while going to the store. Stephanie quickly realizes his disappearance appears almost certainly linked to a corpse in the garbage bag.

If family trouble is not enough to throw one off their food, Stephanie must bring in Randy Briggs, a little person, who refuses to make his mandatory court appearance. Instead, he challenges Stephanie to try to bring him in, a not so easy task. Than there is the Mafia wedding, she cannot refuse to attend. Of course, Stephanie's wardrobe is basic Salvation Army reject, leaving her in need of a new outfit.

The fifth appearance of Stephanie Plum is a warm, extremely humorous "days in the life of a bounty hunter" novel. The story line has several jocular subplots that blend together in a terrific tale. Stephanie remains a plum of a character. Her family, friends, and assorted acquaintances add a Joisey taste to the book. A HIGH FIVE with a double twist goes to Janet Evanovich for providing an entertaining novel and series that leaves readers laughing from start to finish.

Summary: The bombshell bounty hunter returns!!!!!!
Review: I consider myself the luckiest mystery fan in the county right now because I just got to read Janet Evanovich's newest delight. For the rest of you I can only hope you are smart enough to take the day off from work, call for pizza delivery for the kids, sit back and be entertained. Evanovich continues to put out winners. In this newest Stephanie Plum novel,Stephanie is inlisted by her family to locate her missing Uncle Fred. I don't want to ruin the plot for anyone so I'll be vague with the rest of this review. The Uncle is missing, trash bags can hold a body, she's being followed by a bookie?, Grandmother Mazur just can't resist a stun gun or a funeral, Stephanie's still hell on wheel and cars, Morelli isn't the only one making Stephanie hot and bothered, there is a surprise guest appearance by Benito "the Champ" Ramirez, and Stephanie Plum is still "damn skippy". This title hits stores on June 22nd, treat yourself. Posted 04/02/99.

Summary: She Couldn't Possibly Blow Up Another Car?
Review: Stephanie Plum, "The Bombshell Bounty Hunter," is back once again in the fifth book in this hilarious series. Janet Evanovich has outdone herself once again.

Stephanie has been asked by her family to find her missing Uncle Fred. Along her search, she stumbles across a string of dead bodies, a polite, yet annoying bookie, an organized crime wedding, and a crooked garbage company. To make matters worse, she begins having lust-filled feelings for her mentor and super-natural bounty hunter, Ranger. With on-again-off-again feelings for Joe Morelli, she is torn between which man to choose.

Evanovich does a masterful job of weaving a wonderfully cohesive story around a hilarious cast of characters, who are all filled with life. Regulars Lula, Connie, Vinnie, and the whole burg family are also back, not to forget the terrifying "Book one" character of Benito Ramirez, fresh out of jail. This fast-paced book is an action-packed, page-turning thriller that keeps you guessing til the very last page.

This is another amazing novel by Janet Evanovich. Her writing style flows ever so smoothly, and the humor is outstanding. You will not want to put this book down. Give Evanovich a HIGH FIVE on this book.

Summary: Great Fun! Another Stephanie Plum Winner!
Review: I've read all of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels and must say I look forward to every one with bated breath. While we're not talking about the "Great American Novel" here each and every one is an enjoyable read. Any woman can imagine herself bumbling through Stephanie's predicaments which must be the key to having a best-selling novel. If I found myself a bounty hunter I could easily imagine myself being afraid of my gun and keeping it in the cookie jar! I thought the introduction of the Ranger romantic complication was great. Joe Morelli needs some competition! Like the other readers who reviewed this book I can't wait for #6 to see who was waiting at the door in the end (although I wouldn't kick either one of them out!). My only caveat with the book was I thought the wrap-up of the crime story was a little too quick. One scene with the bad guy and all the loose ends are tied up. It was a bit of an anti-climax. But don't let that discourage you from reading High Five and hurry up Janet! We're waiting for #6!
