Rating: Summary: Will I be able to stand the wait? Review: I have been waiting for the latest installment of Stephanie's adventures for over 12 months - it was well worth it! Great, fabulous, wonderful! Came home, took the phone off the hook and refused to answer the door and returned to Jersey to catch up with my old friends - Stephanie, Lulu, Joe, Ranger etc. My tip - don't read this in public - you will embarrass yourself by laughing out loud. The ending was great - who is it? Joe or Ranger? Janet, please don't make us wait another year to find out - the suspense will kill me!
Rating: Summary: CAN'T WAIT FOR NUMBER 6! Review: I have never had so much fun reading a series of books as these! I just happen to come across a review of "High Five" (luckily!) and ran right out to get ALL of them. The characters, the dialog, EVERYTHING, is so entertaining that you'll find you can't put them down! My recommendation....GO OUT AND GET THESE BOOKS! You'll be laughing out loud before you know it. I'm am SOOO looking forward to "Number 6".
Rating: Summary: Hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: It is a rare thing to find a book that makes you laugh out loud! The characters are outrageous, to say the least. It is a book that is easily read in one sitting. I, as many, hated to see it end. I wait anxiously for the next Stephanie Plum adventure!!
Rating: Summary: I couldn't put it down!!! Review: This series just keeps getting better and better. I will be waiting to snatch up book six. I would recommend this book to anyone. It's great.
Rating: Summary: Can this woman right a book, or what? Review: The only thing more frustrating than reading about a woman who can eat like Stephanie and yet FIT into a little black dress, is the last two pages of this novel! Janet, from one author to another, WHICH ONE???
Rating: Summary: Excellent! Fun, Savvy & Realistic To Some Extent Review: Stephenie Plum is really rolling here. Chasing down her Uncle, dealing with the psycho Ramirez, caught between her desire for Morelli and Ranger, putting up with the smart mouth dwarf, the kid Shiek with his fixation on sex and her Grandmother who is just a pip. This was a really good book that I could not put down. I especially liked the ending since it leaves you guessing. Wonderful!
Rating: Summary: I hated for it to end. Review: High Five was a pleasure to read and the only good thing aboutfinishing it was that I could then pass it on to my daughter - who isabout Stephanie's age. She was tired of listening to me roar with laughter. It was so much fun living in Jersey with Stephanie and her family and entourage that I hated to leave. They do a lot of things in Jersey the same way as we do in Virginia. We also do not apologize for our relatives no matter what; we appreciate sexy men, we attend funerals - well, maybe not as often as Grandma Mazur does. But for a Southerner to feel so much at home and love every moment is a tribute to a writer that does nothing but improve with each book. I can not remember laughing so hard over any book or having such strong proprietary feelings over the characters. I hope Janet loses her ten pounds and lets us in on what is going on in Stephanie's life currently. Oh, did I tell you I laughed a lot?
Rating: Summary: Evanovich Continues to be the BEST! Review: Each one of the Stephanie Plum novels is great and they just keep getting better. I burst into spontaneous laughter at least once each chapter. Who could read about Grandma Masur using the stun gun on Stephanie's father and not laugh? Or just the thought of Grandma as a Spice Girl for Halloween? Not to be missed.
Rating: Summary: Janet has picked up on the "Burg", totally!!!! Review: Having been born and raised in Trenton NJ, the 'Burg' to be exact, Janet has picked up on the every day comings and goings of a typical 'Burger-bit'. After stumbling on book two and enjoying every line, I became addicted to this series. Not only the characters, but also the many places mentioned in each book. Note: "Rossini's", mentioned in book 5, now has the distinction of being located on 'Joe Dimaggio Corner' in the 'burg. Great series, highly recommed all five books.Janet....hurry with book six.
Rating: Summary: Too bad there aren't zero or negative stars! Review: After purchasing (and very much enjoying) the first three books read by the talented Lori Petty, I was terribly disappointed when she was not the voice of Stephanie Plum in the fourth book, but decided to buy it anyway. Big Mistake. Janet Evanovich (or whoever is responsible for the casting of her audio book) should take a lesson from Grafton, Kellerman, and others who have a reoccurring character. Use the same voice. Ms. Mazar had difficulty inflecting to differentiate between characters, to say nothing of her lisp, which might have been less noticable had she slowed down a little in her reading. Offer Ms. Petty a house on the beach in Malibu if you must, but please get her back!
