Rating: Summary: Thoroughly enjoyed this book Review: This was my first Evanovich book. I began this morning and couldn't put it down. Good thing it was a holiday. The characters are a hoot. I'm, going to order the other four, and I can't wait for the sixth one....my curiosity is getting the better of me ( and I think Stephanie's curiosity got the better of her).
Rating: Summary: More laughs from one of my fave authors Review: Finally I was able to get my hands on the fifth novel starring Stephanie Plum. No other author can make me laugh out loud as often as Janet Evanovich. I loved any scene that involved Briggs. Anyways, I don't know about the rest of you fans, but I think that it was Morelli who shows up at Stephanie's door in the end. I thought Ranger had already seen the dress (?). I can't wait for the sixth installment! Please hurry, Ms. Evanovich!
Rating: Summary: Excellent, funnier and sexier than the first 4 Review: Great Book!! I love Janet's characters - the men are great without being "too good to be true" and her family at times sounds vaguely like my own. Contrary to the other reviews, I think she chose Ranger...When is the next book due out?
Rating: Summary: Doesn't Get Any Better! Review: Quality stays up there book after book. So many authors seem to march slowly downhill with each succeeding book. Janet Evanovich sense of humor keeps me laughing out loud, something I rarely do while reading. I look forward to meeting her characters again, like old friends.
Rating: Summary: Not as good as earlier Plums Review: I am a great fan of this series, of Stephanie Plum and the author, but was disappointed in Number 5. Perhaps having Stephanie work for/with Ranger was the problem - for me it diffused the opportunities for Stephanie to behave in her customery klutzy fashion and also watered down the relationship between Stephanie and Joe.Looking forward, hoepfully, to number 6 ....
Rating: Summary: Worth waiting for!!! Review: For true fans of this series, re-capping the plot is not necessary. Neither is justifying the romance over the mystery. But let me just make some obvious comments: Never read this in bed when your partner is trying to sleep: you shake the bed so much laughing, you wake him/her up. Never read this with mascara on- you laugh so hard, you cry it off and it all smears down your face. Grandma's one-liners were the ABSOLUTE BEST this time. She was THE SH*T - oops! I mean the FUNNIEST!! And about the ending? my bets are on Joe...
Rating: Summary: another winner!! Review: I got sucked into the Stepanie Plun series a few years ago, and what a wild ride it has been. Every book just seems to get better and better. I found myself laughing outloud at the antics of Steph and all her friends and relatives. Wish my life were this exciting. I must say that i don't know if i can last another year to find out who her mystery man is. I do know who i am rooting for. Janet, keep up the great work!
Rating: Summary: Her best yet Review: Usually when you read a review with five stars, you immediately suspect the reviewer as a shill for the publisher, but in this case, the past reviewers were right on the money. I made the mistake of reading this book on an airplane, and I kept getting quizzical looks from those around me because I kept laughing out loud. To me, though, the big question is not whether it's Morelli or Ranger; I want to know who (or what) the blue figure (an alien?) is on the front cover. A great way to spend a couple of enjoyable hours.
Rating: Summary: This book is hysterical! Review: How can I add anything to my fellow readers' reviews? This series is delightful, and gets more amusing with every new episode... where does Ms. Evanovich get these characters from? I just giggled and chortled - but you care about the characters, too, and the Morelli/Stephanie romance(personally, I think it is MORELLI at the end)is great dramatic suspense - but believable, too. Keep 'em coming, Janet... You are only gaining as you keep going with this series...
Rating: Summary: The best Stephanie Plum adventure yet. Review: While the thrilling element may not be as hair-raising as, say, One for the Money, the characters, humour and Wow! factor are better than ever. If I had created Ranger and Morelli, I'd never sleep for fantisizing! Sheer pleasure.
