Rating: Summary: Another Hilarious Journey Review: I read a lot of detective fiction, some "hard-boiled" some just plain fun. Janet Evanovich is the best and "High Five" is just as good as the others. Sometimes serial writing becomes mechanical, but it has yet to happen with this author. The characters are like family members and I am dying to know who was at the door at the end of the book! It was another hilarious journey into the life of Stephanie Plum!
Rating: Summary: I read this book on vacation I loved it. Review: I had heard so many good things about this book, I went to the library to check it out. I read this book when I went on vacation to New York and New Jersey and read it on the plane, and throughout the vacation. I almost laughed out loud on the plane. Stephanie Plum is someone you wished you were when you want to do something dangerous, I liked the ending was it Ranger or Joe? I think it was Ranger.
Rating: Summary: COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN!! Review: If you haven't read Janet Evanovich's novels, you've missed the next best thing to hot fudge sundaes with a cherry on top!! Stephanie Plum is funny, exciting and sexy. I would kill to be like her (even if she is only a character in a book). And I would sell my soul to meet Morelli and Ranger!! What hunks! This is what reading is all about. Being excited about a story; getting involved with the characters; and having the author take you places you've never been before. To those who are hooked on channel-surfing, you don't know what you are missing! To Janet Evanovich: You are a fabulous writer. Please don't keep us waiting for your next adventure! And please don't forget to bring Ranger and Morelli along for the ride!!
Rating: Summary: Hysterical! Review: I've read all 5 of the books in this series and they just keep getting better and better. Evanovich has a way of making you feel you know these people. They are either members of your own family, the folks down the street or what you would like your family to be. I think we all knew a "Stephanie Plum" at some point in our lives. These characters are not perfect they are simply human. They just happen to be a little stranger than normal. P.S. Don't try reading this in public..smothered laughter sometimes comes out as a very rude noise.
Rating: Summary: This book is FUNNY! Review: This was the first Evanovich book that I read. (I have since read "Four to Score.") I liked the mystery aspect of the book but the unusual characters really make the book enjoyable. I especially like the interaction between Stephanie's dad and Grandma Mazur. I was, like everyone else, left hanging at the end--I hope it was Ranger!
Rating: Summary: Ending unnecessary Review: I whipped through this book while flying... having fellow passengers wondering what was so funny. I enjoyed the play between Stephanie and Ranger and the whole cast of characters as crazy and endearing as they are. What I didn't like was the ending.....Ms Evans read your reviews, you have a growing number of fans who will pay hardcover prices without your having to tweak the ending. I thought it an unnecessary marketing ploy.
Rating: Summary: best books ever Review: i'm 16 & i'm hooked, my mother, sister & i love the ALL the books. i have read them more than once & can't wait for the 6th
Rating: Summary: Wit and action fill this book to the brim-gets a High Five! Review: With her Grandma Mazur popping up in many scenes, the main character Stephanie Plum, not only gets comic relief, but shows a side of Trenton (the burg) life that is bizarre, but believable. Evanovich weaves a good mystery with humor and shares some steamy emotions about Plum's love interest(s). The book ends with the reader wanting more!! I would recommend reading the four previous books starting with "One For The Money". Starting backwards is doable, too.
Rating: Summary: as good as it gets Review: When I saw the fifth installment was being released, I immediately ordered it. Between Grandma Mazur, and the various characters she collects, I always have a reason to laugh out loud. This book is as good as it gets. I introduced Stephanie to several of my coworkers with "High Five", and then they wanted to read all the preceding books. My one complaint about this book, as much as I loved it, Ms. Evanovich, it's not fair to leave us hanging, unless you have the next book ready for release. I'm sure it was Morelli, I've read all of these books and Stephanie has this high moral code. I don'think she'd indulge in a one night fling, just to test the waters, not even with Ranger. She knows she's Morelli's girl, after hasn't his grandmother seen the future.
Rating: Summary: Your sides will ache from laughing - I love Stephanie Plum! Review: Each book by Evanovich is at least as funny as the previous one. Featured are a cast of zany characters, improbable situations, and a couple of drop-dead gorgeous men who are strangely drawn to "The Bounty Hunter from Hell," Stephanie Plum. She astounds you and makes you agonize over her bewildering predicaments. Plan on spending the night holding your sides and trying not to fall off your seat with hysterical laughter.
