Summary: John Edward Does it Again!
Review: You know, after reading 2 or 3 books by the same pyschic medium you'd think that one would get tired or at least begin to see some repetition. Well not in this case! John Edward always has me captivated by his books. He seems to really write for the "skeptic". I would say that it would be impossible for someone to read any of his books and then say that he is a "fake". If you can't tell by now, I am a huge fan of the the psychic medium world. I would recommend this to a fellow fan or the questioning skeptic. It is very well written and easy to follow.

Summary: YOU ARE KIDDING!!!
Review: Now that i have your attention, from a small town just south of Sydney in NSW Australia, i was amazed to see the show begin only a couple of weeks ago. I fell in love with the concept and the truthfulness of the show. 1 week later my wife bought me the book... Funny, witty ... JE has an amazing gift... even the sceptic that helped write the book with Mr Mcgee (JE's real name) was "turned" so to speak.
THis book is uplifting and a peace maker at the end of the day. A book you can run your life on. There are peices that relate to most life situations. John has a million hidden meanings in his stories... and he lets us not so smart people in on some of them.

Loved it... Whens the next one due... When r u coming to OZ!!

Summary: Not as good as "One last Time" or "What if god were sun"
Review: I'm a John Edward fan, but didn't enjoy this book. In fact, I couldn't finish it. I loved "ONE LAST TIME" and "WHAT IF GOD WERE THE SUN". This book is difficult to follow because too many names are introduced, too much technical lingo. You need to take notes just to keep it all straight. I understand it's an auto-biography and in life, several people cross your path, but this was just too much. I think he could have simplified his story and left the names on the acknowledgment page. Sorry, John...didn't like this one.

Summary: Adoration and Applause for John Edward
Review: The other reviews covered the content of the book quite well. So I'll stick to what I know - which is how both One Last Time and Crossing Over, have changed me.
I use to carry grief, like huge cinder blocks of regret in my heart. Now I am filled with an overwhelming sense of being blessed. I use to feel cheated and now I feel grateful. I use to be angry about all that was taken from me, now I am aware of how much I have been given. I thought my loved ones were lost to me. But now I know they are with me always.
Some books entertain, change your point of view, take you on a journey. This book did all of that. It also transformed my soul from the inside - out.
Bless you, John Edward. You have certainly blessed me.

Summary: Story of the author and the program
Review: Crossing Over was not quite what I'd expected it to be. I guess I'd expected more readings and the personal stories behind them. Instead the book is Mr. Edward's own personal story, especially his growing mediumship and the development of his program also entitled Crossing Over.

While I don't necessarily believe in mediums, and I'm not entirely certain I believe in an afterlife, I have to give the man kudos for the obvious sense of closure that he bestows upon those who attend his shows, seminars and individual sessions. From the book and the snippets of show I've seen, it appears that, contrary to his detractors, the man really does believe in his work and is not a charlatan. The skeptic may maintain that Edward reads the living rather than the dead, but the average person with a sense of spirituality who is suffering with the pain of loss will probably find Edward's words far more consoling than those of the skeptic.

Summary: Some questions aren't supposed to be answered
Review: John Edward's book was a really good read I powered through it. It was an easy pace and I throughly enjoyed it. I expected more readings, but the book is mostly about how John started out and his morals behind what he does and the hardships he has had to endure to get his message across.

I love watching him on cable here in Australia and I must say, his book really does bring through the real John just as he appears on TV, you know he's not perfect, but he just omes across as so honest.

I would definately recommend this book to skeptics and fans alike, it's very interesting to get the behind the scenes story. All through the book John tells us that we don't need a medium to know that our loved ones will be there for us on the other side, however if anything his book makes you want to meet this man all the more, even if you don't get a reading :)

Summary: A total disappointment...and I was a fan!
Review: If you've read at least one book on the afterlife, YOU KNOW MORE than John Edward does. He describes spiritual matters like a high school student writing a termpaper on a topic he hasn't researched enough. From a person with several years of psychic work behind him, this was very disappointing. He either has nothing to say or he simply doesn't know what he's talking about and is trying to [immitate] it. In either case, he is an extremely poor writer and he didn't hold my interest.

A couple of the anecdotes were slightly interesting, but most of it is just pointless fluff, in my humble opinion. If you want personal anecdotes of a psychic medium AND some basic info on the afterlife, James Van Praagh's first book is a much better choice.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Skeptics must read this book
Review: Just honest straight facts. Skeptics should make contact with the distinguished personalities that got shocked out of skepticism by John. Some of them prominent lawyers and respected top editors of well recognized newspapers.

As he says in the book, there are those that can not be converted from skepticism, no matter what one does.

A must read for those who miss their dead loved ones.
