Rating: Summary: Amazing Review: John Edward is the most amazing person alive. His book offers unbelievable insight into his amazing powers. I was blown away! This man really talks to the dead.
I was so impressed with his book, that I took my Aunt to his show and he immediately made contact with my dead Uncle. He let us know that everything was O.K., and that his passing, although sudden, was welcome.
Even though my Aunt was never married, and I never had an Uncle, it's comforting to know that had I had one, his passing would have been welcome. Also, had I had an uncle, we would have shared some joke about a red rose, or red garment, or red car. And apparently his name would have started with a J, maybe Jeff, maybe Joe, maybe even John.
Thank you John Edward.
Rating: Summary: Staying put by crossing over in this world. Review: This is a great book in that John discusses how the show "Crossing Over" in reality allowed him to cross over from being an unknown to a national and well respected psychic medium. John's book escapes the ordinary story line that is typical of this genre and instead moves his audience to a level that is fun filled and interesting right from the start. He candidly reflects himself as a person just like the rest of us thus making the connection between audience member and psychic medium more meaningful. By glimpsing into his world as both a psychic medium and as a human being we begin to realize that we ourselves are all connected. Perhaps this is just one reason why John's stories are always heartfelt.
Rating: Summary: INSIGHTFUL AND THOUGHT PROVOKING READ Review: OK SO THIS BOOK WAS NOT ONE LAST TIME - IT WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE! I FOUND CROSSING OVER - THE STORIES BEHIND THE STORIES A GREAT READ. IT GAVE WONDERFUL INSIGHT TO HOW TELEVISION SHOWS ARE PRODUCED AND WHAT IT TAKES TO GET THEM ON THE AIR, ALONG WITH THIS YOU GOT GREAT PERSONAL STORIES AND READINGS! I ENJOYED CROSSING OVER THE SHOW AND LOVED READING ABOUT ALL THE BEHIND THE SCEANS GOINGS ON! I LIKED THE FACT THAT YOU GOT TO READ ABOUT THE STAFF AND ALL THE WONDERFUL PEOPLE WHO BROUGHT THIS VALUEABLE SHOW TO MILLIONS OF VIEWERS EVERYWHERE. I WISH THE SHOW HAD BEEN RENEWED!
Rating: Summary: Love is Always and Enduring Review: This book is a good and interesting read - and gives a thoughtful look into John. I like John Edward. I find him to be a little more concrete than I see with other occultists. The spirit's are more a part of our life than most people realize - It's not at all unusual to have them around. With the Lord they do watch over us. Scripture says to: "Prove all things" and "To Test The Spirits". I find this to be a good rule of thumb in exploring this kind of thing. John gives some good advice, and does bring comfort to those who are searching and grieving. I wouldn't recommend searching out occultists in the first couple years of a passing of a Loved One - It's an extremely vulnerable time in a persons life. A thoughful counselor or Support Group would be a better option. I found "The Compassionate Friends" to be a very good group and to be very helpful. All Spirits exist and belong to, and because of, the Lord - Anyone who is involved with animals can SEE in their eyes that they have a soul. The Lord brings all souls to himself after this earthly existence...They are safe and happy with him. Just because someone is a minister/priest does not mean they are automatically right. Jesus has something to say about that when he tells some of these believers/evildoers away from him.
Rating: Summary: Not as good as his first book, but pleasant to read. Review: I watch John Edward's show, and I believe in him. Still, I liked his first book better than this one. Why? The first book is a biography of John Edward, whereas, this book is more of a "biography of the show." If you're going to buy this book, be sure to buy (and read) "One Last Time" first. This is more of a supplement to that earlier text.
I'm planning to buy "One Last Time" for my mother, for Christmas, but I don't think I'll buy "Crossing Over" to go with it, for mom. If she likes "One Last Time," she can get "Crossing Over" later. I recommend the same for you.
Rating: Summary: Another great book from Edward... Review: This is another book by medium John Edward that entertains the reader and will confound the skeptics. Again, Edward relates many experiences that will leave the believer enlightened and the skeptic dumbfounded. This book is highly recommended. The only reason I did not give it five stars was because I was bored by the talk about the development of his TV show. Regardless, you will enjoy this book!
