Summary: No nonsense, filling in the blanks
Review: This is not your typical new-age-psychic book, but then John Edward is not your "typical new-age-psychic" by any stretch of the imagination. Fans and skeptics alike will have much to learn about John Edward, through his straight-forward and conversational writing style. Filling in the blanks and forgoing fluff, John Edward bravely shares his feelings as well as some little-known facts about the infamous "TIME" magazine article. John takes us behind the scenes of how Crossing Over came into being, and gives us deeper insights into the inspiring stories of lives forever changed by the message of his work. When you finish reading this book, you'll know more about John Edward than you can glean from just watching "Crossing Over." If you love John Edward, hate him, or even if you're just mildly curious, these stories will tempt you to laugh and cry with the rest of us.

Summary: Bravo John!
Review: This is his best book yet! If you are a John Edward fan, this book is a must. Not only does he talk about the incredible readings he gives, but also the behind the scenes story of how the TV show came to be. John's writing style is as always; down to earth, easy to read and funny. You won't be able to put the book down. If you didn't believe in destiny before, you will now. I can't wait for the next book!

Summary: Think the job is easy? Its not, but you could do it too!
Review: Full of insights and touching stories of his work, "Crossing Over" beautifully illustrates the cleansing / healing power that simple words from a loved one who has passed, carries. While touching back to his past "Crossing Over" focuses on the last 4 years in the life and career of John Edward. His trials and the tribulations that surround bringing his message to a greater mass of humanity, and his words to live by...Communicate, appreciate and validate the people in our lives, past and present. His message remains forever true and valid for the lives we live, touch and have touched us. Whether you're an avid fan of John Edward, or a first time reader of his work, "Crossing Over" will touch you with stories of the personal loss, healing and love. Five stars? I'd give it more, he has taken the time to show us, the reader, the daily frustration of trying to remain true to his path, beliefs, and his guides, while facing opposition from non-believers and honoring right to hold their own set of beliefs and values. If you ever wonder, if you've always known, if you are just finding out, I recommend "Crossing Over."

Summary: Crossing Over
Review: John, all I have to say to you is You go Boy!!! For any one thinking of purchasing the book, I say definately go for it. You feel like you are hanging out with John. The only bad thing I have to say about any of his books is that I wish they were longer. You cant wait to turn the page.

Summary: Beyond going behind the scenes
Review: Crossing over touts itself as going behind the stories of Crossing Over - the show. It goes far beyond that. Details are uncovered that range from what John's birth name is, to how he had his mother send 3 signs of confirmation, and so much more. This book was not only an eye opener but also was more like a confirmation for me, that I was not going insane, or allowing my imagination take over. After reading this book, I realized that my experiences, while unique to me, are understood by others that do this for a living. My hopes are that this book can help you realize the same.

Summary: wheww!
Review: I have always said and known, if a book is of help, its a super book, anyone enjoying reading this book also needs to read SB: 1 or God by Karl Maddox. The attempt to convince that we need to see beyond our culturally instilled eyes is very cooly demonstrated by Mr. Edward. Also John keeps his mainstream humor througout the write. Experience is everything and writing of our experience and contacts is in fact entertaining, John does this well. I am happy I bought the book.

Summary: Skepticism is a virtue; Brittle cricitism isn't.
Review: Question everything. Keep asking questions. Look behind the curtain. Believe nothing. But entertain all possiblities! That is what I got from this book. But this is a slippery slope to live on. The Amazing Randi would like us to think he lives on this slope. But the old guy fell off years ago. He clinges white-knuckled to the limited parameters of common dogma, albeit scientific dogma. (It is imagination and dreams and God's own sweet voice that led lamplighters like Einstein, not brittle rules.) John Edward on the other hand has the courage to live on a very slippery slope. In fact, the dude is skiing down that slope, catching air, and doing backscratches on his way down to the truth. Congratulations John, keep looking behind the curtain and lighting the way. BOO!

Summary: A Must Read, for anyone that has read "One Last Time"
Review: "Crossing Over" is one of those books you just can't put down. I recently purchased "One Last Time" and was amazed how much of his personal life John reveals in this book. He continues this with Crossing Over. I have always been a believer and by watching John's show and reading his books, I now have the understanding to go with my beliefs. I have no doubts that John's work helps many people that have experianced a loss in their lives. "Crossing Over" is a gift to these people. It is a book that I will pick up and read from time to time, just for the comfort and knowledge it gives me.

Summary: Complete...comprehensive...Johns best book to date!
Review: Wow! This book has the stories like One Last Time, the personal beliefs expressed in What if God Were the Sun, and SO much more. John talks about the journey to where he is now and I felt privileged to read it. Now those names that go by after the show are real people with real stories. John is straightforward about his critics and the things that sometimes bother him. With the first two books, I felt like I was reading John Edward books. With this book, I feel like I begin to know John and the family of Glow in the Dark/ Sci-Fi that brings me the comfort of Crossing Over. Thank you.
