Summary: Excellent Communication
Review: I have read all of John Edwards books and not being an avid reader myself, I find all his books hard to put down once I pick them up. This book is an excellent description of how the celebrity world and the "real" world (or in this case..John's world)..clash especially when someone wants to distribute their talent for the good of the people and not for the money making issues of it. I appluad John in his life long efforts to continue providing his extraoridanry talents for the people rather than just the money...and in his book he describes that long hard struggle. Excellent reading for any John Edward fan, or any fan of the "unknown" after-life. Thanks John for not letting the skeptical people get you down and for not walking away from your great work that you provide for us "ordinary" people!!

Summary: If you're a fan of John Edward, you'll love this book!
Review: Don't miss the evolution of how Sci-Fi's "Crossing Over" came to be. John tells the incredible story with the humility and humor that is "pure John". If you are a fan of the show and John's psychic gift, you are sure to enjoy this quick reading biographical account.

Summary: Sincerity and integrity shines through...
Review: Crossing Over the television experience becomes even more fascinating and rewarding after reading the book, Crossing Over, the Stories Behind the Stories by John Edward. Expressing his humor, New York background, and guided life, John Edward takes us through the ups and downs of becoming a psychic medium in today's television culture. As with many good books, the reader will get drawn into the disappointments and high points in John's career.
As a regular viewer of SCIFI's Crossing Over with John Edward, I found the book answered many questions I had pondered about John and about the show. The book has an easy reading style, meaningful "readings" and experiences of John Edward, and above all a message to all of us from those on the otherside. John's sincerity and integrity are very evident throughout the book. After beginning the book, I couldn't wait to read more. Upon finishing the book, I wanted to share what I read with others, and read it again.

Summary: a role model extraordinaire
Review: I first discovered "John Edward" whilst surfing my cable channels one evening.

My spiritual journey began in April 1996 after a long and traumatic event that spanned many years. I have been led from one phenominal person to the next through books, audio tapes, recommendation and t.v.

Of course, the Spiritual teacher has to appeal in the first place, something must gel, feel right and tune in with how my own frame of mind works.

John Edward is my current Spiritual teacher and his books, t.v. show and tapes have made a profound difference to my life.

I do not know where I will be led next but it has been an abosolute privilage to have made his aquaintence. What a wonderful man.

Summary: Another Success for John Edward
Review: I just finished reading "Crossing Over" and must tell any prospective buyer to get it! Anyone who read his first book "One Last Time" will be equally impressed with the stories in this book and learn about John's personality. It has many humerous parts in it. This book takes a look at his climb to television and John even takes a few jabs at the cynics. Great book!

Summary: Such a personal insight ...
Review: This book offers a very personal and heartwarming look inside the head of someone who has become rather "famous" since I first spied his first book a few years ago. His rememberances are very touching and have lead me on an emotional roller-coaster for him from page one. Kudos to John!

4 stars NIGHTBREED
he states "it has a very dark atmosphere"
Does this alone speak for the angle that this reviewer comes from? Preference of dark look at life.
A taste for violence?
John Edward represents Compassion, Hope, Light and the possibility that life is full of miracles and can actually be a good thing, if you are in the right mindset.
So, if you have some kind of faith or attraction to the things we cannot always see, or you would like to possibly learn more
about spiritual concepts and possibilities then I would recommend checking out ANY of John Edwards work. He delivers his words with wisdom, enlightenment, and also some wonderful humor. I think Mr Edward is right where he is supposed to be at this point in time. And I think he is doing a fabulous job portraying the work of a professional psychic, medium, and lightworker. This review written to bring in that wonderful essence that is so needed in life...BALANCE =)

Summary: Meet John Edward... and The Boys.
Review: This book is a "MUST READ" for all skeptics, and all believers. From cover to cover, we get a marvelous in-depth, "behind-the-scenes" look at John, The Boys, the readings, and the show "Crossing Over." He shares his thoughts, his concerns, his feelings, his struggles with fame, and his humor, with the world in this one. This stuff is real, folks. In fact, John Edward may be the only REAL Medium out there. "Crossing Over" (the book) will entertain you... will convince you... and it'll make you think. His words are inspiring, and full of personal emotion. Definitely a "MUST READ!!!!" 5 STARS, easily!!!! Run, don't walk, to the nearest bookstore near you, and experience it for yourself.

Summary: The real John Edward shines through
Review: I am a years-long fan of John Edward since being fortunate enough to have a private reading with him back in 1999. I've read and loved all his books and most recently this one. It's different from the rest ... here John goes to town with his true personality and details of his struggles to get where he has gotten. No bull. Just honest, straightforward accounts of his experiences both good and bad since deciding to devote his life to mediumship. For me, the book solidified my trust in this man and in the process he brings to us in his TV show. There is a lot of show biz talk and inside info in it, including full names, dates and circumstances, and some of that flew over my head. But there's a reason he has it in there ... brutal, upfront honesty and accuracy. The way he conducts his work is also the way he presents this book. I was so impressed that I ordered a copy for my cousin as well. If you are looking for an intriduction into the afterlife, read his book One Last Time. Once you have the basics down, move on to this book, it really brings everything together.

Summary: disappointed
Review: I love John and his show, but this book was a bust. I don't really care about show biz, but I do care about hearing stories of hope. This book seems like a marketing ploy than a serious book. Write another book about your WORK john!
