Rating: Summary: A Great Book Review: This will be John's 3rd book and i have read all three. I have loved all three. just to hear the stories about the show and how it can to be is great. i think everyone who like john should read this and his other books.
Rating: Summary: For the opened minded persons Review: I think people forget that us humans only use a small portion of our brain. Isin't it normal to think that some people may be able to use more and as a result unlease certain talents that they may have never knew they had. I always have believed that the only thing that stops you in succeding in something is the second of doubt. If we never heard the word "gravity" would we be able to walk on water? Let's face it there are things that happen everday that even the most educated and experienced persons can not explain. If we were a John Edward we would understand what type of talent he has and respect it. The persons that are touched by even thinking or feeling there past loved ones are still in some way here is special. Some people may never be able to heal unless they knew this. Are people just brushed into the past and forgot about? Never underestimate the power of self control.
Rating: Summary: Fascinating Review: Crossing Over is a good sequel to One Last Time. Even if you haven't read One Last Time, you will enjoy this book. John Edward is a medium who specialty is reuniting the living to those who have passed over. I had a near death experience my self so I am not so much a skeptic as I once was.The book is amazing. It needs to be read carefully as there is so much information coming through that it easy to miss some of it. I especially enjoyed the Blue Suede Shoes chapter. John Edward is presently featured on the Sci Fi channel Sunday night at 8 p.m. and Monday through Thursday at 11pm. His show is also in syndication in major markets.
Rating: Summary: Good Read to much Repeat Review: I have read all of John Edward books since the sudden passing of my 26 year old daughter 2 months ago. One Last Time was a great comfort to me and has helped with the devestating grief. The beginning chapters of Crossing Over is not well written and to much repeat information. The second half is excellent. I too expected more real stories of people making contact with the other side. I was disappointed by that, but I enjoyed the book. I have read many books on grief. Is there anything new out there? Is there anything that deals with losing a grown child. I can't find anything that is written from this prospective. Any help with this would be appriciated. Enjoy the book.
Rating: Summary: Crossing Over Review: John Edward's latest contribution is revealing, funny, and heartfelt. He reinterates some stories from his "One Last Time" book with some interesting additional information. For anyone who is a John Edward fan, or for first time viewers of his syndicated television show, this an interesting read.
Rating: Summary: Good book, but... Review: Crossing Over is a good book to read if you are interested on how the show came to be. It lacks the touching stories that were in One Last Time. There are a few updates with some of the previous stories in this book, but I was a little disappointed on the context. I guess like John Edward says on the show, I should have checked my expectations at the door. All in all, it is a good book and anyone who is a fan of the show would appreciate the struggle it was to get the show on the air.
Rating: Summary: Crossing Over the Atlantic Review: Having watched John's show on cable, I have found him to be inspiring. This book is everything his shows are - genuine and to the point. It shows a side of the medium few are fortunate to discover. The narrative is strong and the words echo John's commitment and strengths. I cannot recommend this book strongly enough.
Rating: Summary: Can't Say Enough Review: I have found all of John Edward's books to be immensely readable. He writes in an informal style that almost makes me feel like he could be sitting in the room just having a conversation with me. His approach to this sensitive subject (spirit communication) is convincing (to say the least) and well thought out. Crossing Over is a wonderful, touching, and even encouraging chronicle of a man who is doing what I wish I could... living by faith and sharing that experience with countless others. I would recommend it highly, especially if you have read and enjoyed "One Last Time" by the same author.
Rating: Summary: Super! Review: John is only human and so funny at it! You got to read this book!
Rating: Summary: Thank you Review: I would like to thank John Edward for sharing how the TV show "Crossing Over with John Edward" started. It was very interesting to know what he went through to get to the point he is at now. The stories he shared were great. Thank you and God bless.
