Summary: Rivoting~ Captivating~ Can't put it down kind of book!~
Review: If you've had experiences of intuition or synchronicity then you probably were drawn to his book and read it already. If not, those of you whom the spirits intend to help, will be reading it soon and/or listening to John's show. We are truly all connected~ science has known this for quite a while....... I guess we find things out later, but John helps that bridge to connect a little sooner~ Thanks a lot John, ..I got your book for my mom for Christmas and one for me in the mail yesterday..and have ten more pages to go... sell it? NEVER....... I hope you will write a book on frequently asked questions~ for instance, 'What is the dimension like that they are on...? Is there grass like here? or is it an etheral kind of grass, trees, dogs, people, etc... are there buildings?? do they dream?? these are questions I wonder if you know or are allowed to know.... maybe you could explain that to us.. I also completely understand why someone with this ability cannot know lottery numbers because this is greed and cannot be part of the picture when sustaining a higher vibration..... anyhow, this is a must read... and if any of you don't understand some things of this nature now, at least you have the seeds to get you pointed in the right direction.... love to all (...)

Summary: Bertie Wooster and the Sixth Sense
Review: First, let me say I'm not a fan of Mr. Edward. I think psychics are bunk, and the dead don't talk. It's not a question of faith, because I'm a religious Jew. I also want to say that I think fans of his show forget too easily that he premiered on the Sci-Fi channel. That stands for Science FICTION, folks.

I've seen the show, and I see him use all kinds of standard psychic tricks that have been used by hundreds of performers before him, some admitted actors, others exposed frauds. Edward uses letters instead of whole names when he trolls for a mark; almost every time, Edward is saved from providing the name-- the mark does it for him. But he slyly appears to have pulled it out of the air. He elicits information, then provides generalities, and makes a few educated guesses; ones that don't get picked up by the mark are immediately dropped. The strategem could only be more obvious if it were written on a sandwich board that Edward wore as he moved around the studio.

That disclaimer out of the way, I liked the book. For one thing, Edward has not, as far as I can tell, employed an (excuse the expression), "ghost writer." He has the kishkas to write his book himself. He also has a narrative voice that is all his own. He switches from the present, to the imperfect, and occasionally to the past, seeming capricious. But he must have been more careful than he seems; the reader is never confused. There is a feel to the book that it was written all in one day; there's a breathless quality, as though he can't get the words out fast enough. It's compelling.

Most of all, the series of anecdotes are not always flattering. Sometimes he presents himself as petty, and other times as a buffoon. I can respect someone who will put that into words, even if I don't like his choice of career.

Of course, he always does come out on top, in a Bertie Wooster- like fashion, and he is harsh on skeptics; I'm surprised at his dismay over skeptics. I would think anyone in his profession would expect and except that they are part of his chosen profession.

The only thing that would have made me like this book more were for it to be a novel.

Summary: Wonderfully written with honesty and humor.
Review: I enjoyed the realistic and informative approach John had in explaining all the trials and frustations he encountered along the way to getting his book published and in getting a TV show started. The humor, honesty, and communications from those who have crossed over which John included throughout the book made it difficult to put down. This book is not only informative, humerous, and interesting, but also helps to validate experiences many have had with those who have crossed over. I also enjoy his TV show and look forward to hearing much, much more from John Edward.

Summary: Not nearly as good as one last time
Review: Actually I found this one disappointing. I wanted much more about what it is like on the other side. I would also have been interested in his points of view. Instead, it read as a less than interesting autobiography. I was hoping that this would pick up where One Last Time left off. More explanations. Clearer pictures. Alas, it covered too much of the same territory as the first book and was not as interesting. Nicely written though, in his light hearted style he is so well known for.

Summary: The truth is always worth 5 stars
Review: Thank you John for all your work. This book is yet another example to us that we are NEVER alone and that there is truly an amazing Other Side at work with us and for us all the time. Now STOP reading those reviews that try to attack your integrity!!!

Summary: With an open mind and a healthy dose of skeptisism
Review: Years of research had led me to strongly believe in reincarnation but I did not believe at all in channeling. I considered mediums merely people who ripped off the grieving. I had heard John Edward could talk to the dead but did not believe it at all. Ask enough vague questions and something will click with someone. Yes, I was a skeptic. Having stumbled upon the Crossing Over show I was quickly enamored, often left in tears as I watched the readings. This book focuses on his own early skeptisism and the evolution of his abilities, his failures, his successes and his own search for signs from his late mother. Is it all staged? I'd have to have a reading myself to be 100% convinced but by doing as he asks "opening your mind" and keeping "a healthy skeptisism" I have come to believe in the possibilty. An excellent book for the believer and skeptic alike.

Summary: Amazing
Review: John Edward,
Within 2 days I have read more than half of you'r book
and I must say it was more than what I expected. I only
started watching your show about three weeks ago not knowing
what you were all about and you emediatly caught my attention.
I envy you and your amazing capability to connect the living
with the other side, and wish I too could do the same. I have
connected through dreams and have intuitions but not to the
extent as what you do and I want to let you know I appreciate
you and the hard work you put yourself through.
The book is amazing and I recomend anyone with an
open mind to read it without judgment.
Thank you for showing there is a life after life.:o)

Summary: Crossing Over
Review: Crossing Over was a beautifully written book, sort of an autobiography, that I found hard to put down.

Also, I got deep insight on how the program "Crossing Over", the TV show, evolved and John's thoughts about the process.
