Rating: Summary: very nice written, slow at the beinning, but then exciting. Review: THE IDEA OF THE ENTIRE BOOK IS VERY SMART END UNUSUAL. TERRY McCALEB IS VER "HUMAN" AND BESIDES THE THRILLER, THERE IS SOME ROMANCE. VERY GOOD BOOK.
Rating: Summary: Another great novel by Connelly Review: This is the second novel I have read by Mr. Connelly and itjust encourages me to get his new est release "Angels Flight". Although Blood Work was not as well written as The Poet, and I did find myself a few steps ahead of the hero, I still found myself surprised quite a few times.A great author for the person who likes to be surprised and entertained. So far that is two books that I label as "page turners". Now I go on to a third and I know I will be just as entertained. Keep up the good work Mr.Connelly.

Rating: Summary: No Poet but not bad Review: Michael Connelly has written better books, but in "BloodWork" he shows that he can weave a good story out of an issue (Heart Transplants). Some of this novel seems programmed and setup, but with the other Michael Connelly novels, there is solid writing and plenty of (believable) surprises.

Rating: Summary: A thrilling read! Review: Connelly's character, former FBI man McCaleb, is a guy thereader can really care about. The story of McCaleb hunting for the killer of the woman whos heart he received in a transplant is truly original (at least I haven't heard of this premise before). "Blood Work" is beautifully written and is sure to keep you interested until the end. This was my first Connelly book and his others are now on my "must read" list. If you like police procedurals you will love this book.

Rating: Summary: Good start, fizzled ending Review: I have read other Michael Connelly books, and I was somewhat disappointed with this one. While the beginning was well written and captivating, the ending left a lot to be desired. The twists and turns in the case were interesting and kept me from putting the book down. However, once the killer was revealed the story seemed to go downhill. I was most disappointed by the meeting between Harry and the killer and how it was resolved. After all of the details in the beginning of the book, it was almost like he was trying to get it finished in a hurry. I won't give up on Michael Connelly books, I loved Trunk Music, The Last Coyote, The Poet, etc. I wouldn't recommend this one as a first Connelly read.
