Rating: Summary: Essential Reading for the Leaders of the New Millenium Review: Leadership is all about actions and not positions. This book gives some inspiring insights about leadership principles. Sometime ago I read a book on management thoughts from the great Hindu epic - The Song of God(Bhagawad Gita) of Lord Krishna. Finding the management thinking from the bible is new to me but sounds quite suitable to my thinking and attitude for practice. Very useful book for leaders of the new millenium to build the strengths of self-mastery, action and relationships
Rating: Summary: This should be a businessperson's "bible". Review: Many business people spend thousands of dollars on seminars and programs designed to increase their efficiency and profitability. But along comes a little unpretentious book and the business world is changed. Jesus, CEO is a tremendous resource which draws on Scriptural accounts of Jesus' life and ministry as an example for business leaders to follow. My only question is: what took so long? I highly recommend this book and I will use its principles in my own work as a Christian Business Consultant, for which I am currently organizing. Thanks should go to Laurie Beth Jones for having the honesty, temerity and good sense to integrate spirituality and business.
Rating: Summary: Wow, read it, share it, enjoy it! Review: One of the best books I've ever read, re-read and read again. I continuously go back to this book for inspiration and level setting when I'm grumpy about the world and believe everyone is rotten and spoiled. This book is a great how to be a good person leadership read.
Rating: Summary: Jesus/CEO goes one step beyond Covey Review: One of the more interesting theories by author Jones is that a way to deal with bad people and experiences is to look at these events as possible warning areas that keep us on track to our true destiny. Dwelling on bitter past events and encounters with evil doers will only deter your calling to higher experiences. In fact, these people and events may have been placed in our lives for a reason, just as they were during the life of Jesus.
I picked up this book on a fluke, and had no idea that it correlated so well with the excellent teachings of Stephen Covey. It is a must read for anyone who holds thoughts of revenge for a past injustice.

Rating: Summary: A valuable tool for translating your faith into practice. Review: Short, concise chapters, packed with clear examples, vivid imagery and practical application for faithful practice in everyday life. Written for the professional, many of the ideals are relevant to relationships in general. I found it to be a useful resource, something I could read in the early morning and use throughout my day. A powerful meditation piece for christian executives and staff alike to assist them in their evangelism through their work place. I highly recommend this to all professionals who struggle with their leadership skills, with principles in the workplace and with spiritual growth in the face of todays business climate.
Rating: Summary: Reminder of Simplicity and love to freedom! Review: Soemtimes we get so caught up in the daily struggles that we forget that there are things bigger than us. I am not a religious person, but it made me wonder and think about how much better my life would be if I did not have such heavy loads on my back. This book was recommended to me by a very savvy business individual, and it serves as a great business tool. You should just get the best and leave the rest from this book. Take the time to just immerse yourself in you and really try to better yourself! We are all worth living with a little more peace, aren't we?
Rating: Summary: Undoubtedly well intentioned, but biased. Review: The book starts well and has some real gems and insights. She interprets the bible from her own Christian point of view and for her own purposes. No problem, we all do this. But I consider my God to embody the very best of both men and women and the steady undercurrent of gender bias in this book was disturbing, especially given the high ambition of its title. A letdown
Rating: Summary: A great book whether or not you are in leadership. Review: The chapters are short, to the point, and interesting......with 2-4 thought-provoking questions at the end of each. It is a wonderful book full of humor and thought-provoking messages. I have read chapters to several people, emailed them about the book, and am only on page 50! It is a great book that touches your life!
