Summary: A slow start, but funny book
Review: I listened to the audio book on a road trip. At first I was bored and just about the time I was ready to give up on this book it picked up and I found myself laughing continuously. It turned out to be not only entertaining, but it left me wanting more in the end! I'd recommend it!

Summary: Audio book read by Ray Romano is a winner!
Review: I ordered the audio CD of this book, and I am quite pleased that I did. In both stand-up routines and his television show, I find Ray Romano's comic delivery to be priceless. Hearing this book read by Ray Romano himself definitely adds to the charm of this hilarious material. Raymond writes about "what he knows," and his material is made all the more funny because the audience can definitely relate to it.

Summary: overrated.
Review: I really did not like this book. The book is like the highly overrated TV show, Everybody Loves Raymond (ELR)in that it is unfunny and irritating. Ray CAN be funny listen to his audio CD or Ice Age, but this book tries too hard to be like his television show. Howeever, unlike the TV show, there's no supporting cast who create the vast majority of the laughs. The fact that Romano got a reported seven figures for this book is a shame. Spend your money on romano's Cd, unless you are a ELR fan, if you are ELR fan a Caveat. Ray uses profanity in this book, so it's not as family-friendly as the show. I cannot recommend this book sorry.

Summary: This is the funniest book I have ever read in my life!
Review: If you are a parent, a fan of Ray Romano, not a fan of Ray Romano, a wife or a husband this is the book for you. I have never in my entire life laughed so hard. I was in TEARS. It is the dryest comedy I have ever known. Man - this is a GREAT book. I am buying it for everyone I know for Christmas. You HAVE to get it.

Summary: Funny Stuff!
Review: If you love the show you'll love this CD. This CD is great because Ray reads its and with him reading it you can't help but laugh. So if you haven't bought it yet buy it now, its worth every penny.

Summary: Same as Standup
Review: If you've heard his standup routine or watched the tv show, don't bother wasting your time on the book - it's the same material, only drier. Save a few bucks & get the stand up routine alone if you're a fan.

Summary: Someone you can really relate to, Ray Romano.
Review: In Ray's highly funny book, Everything and a Kite, he explains funny situations that has happend to him in the recent and non-recent past. He focus' his story a lot on his kids. I think they have been an inspiration mainly in his life. He also makes sure that everyone in his family has a say in his book,he wouldn't want to leave anyone out now. This book really made me laugh out loud. If I was you read this book when there is no one around, unless you like people looking at you awkwardly! His real life almost portrays his television show to a "T." I would highly recommend this book to anybody, except for young children. It does have a little profanity, but not a lot.

Summary: It makes you love him that much more!
Review: It is always impressive when a comic writes a book that you actually can't put down. I was laughing out loud through the whole book. I have been watching the show since it aired and I love it, but now I love Ray Romano even more. He gives you incite on every aspect of his life, and even when being serious he is funny. Any person can relate to what he wrote about, whether your married, single, have kids or a dog. If you like his comic abilities it's definitly worth reading.

Summary: If you love Raymond - you'll love this book
Review: Like most comedians that have made the move from stand-up to small screen, Everything and a Kite rehashes some of the topics and story lines from Ray Romano's show but I must say that it is still funny.

Ray mixes up his feelings of inadequacy with the joys and pains of being alternately a child, single, married and a parent. I laughed aloud several times while reading the book and had to repeat several stories to those around me while I was chuckling.

My only gripe is that I wish the book were longer, Ray Romano spent much of the book changing the fonts and joking about having to write filler (which served a dual purpose) as well as hemming and hawing and apologizing for things until he finally spit the joke out. I did love the footnotes through out the book.

All in all, a very quick but very funny read!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Stress relief for parents
Review: Mild, amusing bits which are funnier if you can imagine Romano's deadpan delivery. Some pages made even my husband ("Mr. That's-Not-Funny") laugh out loud, particularly the hilarious list of toys NEVER to buy for someone else's kid (These include: "Baby's First Staple Gun" and "Lil' Wall Painter").

True to life. Best because it reassures you that your experiences are, believe it or not, pretty normal.
