Summary: I had hoped for more!
Review: I am a true fan of Janet Evanovich, and will continue to read her work, but I kept reading Full Tilt hoping I'd get to the good part, but the good part never came! I'm giving it two stars just because I know there's a story in there for Max and Jamie, I just didn't find it. I look forward to Full Speed, not to mention To The Nines (love you, Stephanie!)and hope the next installment will be worth my time.

Summary: A jewel not a Plum!!!
Review: I have never read a "Plum" novel, so when I sat to read, "Full Tilt," my palate was clean. The attention to detail and all of the research that had to have gone into this book was phenomenal. Writing romantic comedy seems to flow naturally for this new "dynamic duo." The human qualities that Max's car possessed had me laughing out loud. I am not sure why the "Plum" fans assumed this would be another installment, but I am pleased with this offering. It is definitely a jewel to be kept in my eclectic collection. I am glad that Evanovich has stretched her writing talents and shared another facet of her gift by pairing with Hughes to leave me waiting for me. Rather than her fans disparaging this gem, they should stop typecasting this literary artist and move on to what is best suits their reading pleasure. Way to go, Hughes and Evanovich and many more to come, I can only hope!!!

Summary: Not fantastic, not horrible just hummmm
Review: After reading all the reviews I guess I'm just a middle of the roader. This book is definitely not in a league with Ms Evanovich's Plum series. The characters were not as vivid,the dialog was not as laugh out loud funny, and the romantic tension in "Tilt" was tepid rather than steamy (be still my heart Morelli and Ranger). But,I've read far less engaging books, a back handed compliment if ever there was one. So, hopefully the second book, and I will buy it, will have gotten the kinks out and will begin to come up to the level Ms Evanovich's readers know she is capable of producing.

Summary: Very disappointing
Review: I squirmed through this book, and wish I hadn't bothered. It's a dull psuedo-romance, neither "wacky" nor an "adventure". The situations and characters have potential but evolve into nothing, flat and lacking in interest, sex, and humor. I disliked Full House just as much--but a fabulous series like the Plums seemed to warrant a second chance for this series, too. I will NOT invest in a third Full-whatever if and when it appears. Maybe Evanovich helped outline, but if she was involved in the actual writing I'd be surprised. If this is representative of Hughes' writing style, I'm avoiding her books forever. If I could speak to the authors, I'd ask them to see if they could be more engaging and less annoying in the first person, rather than than the traditional romance-novel third.

Review: I love Janet Evanovich! Her early works were great and her Plum Series was evan better. Even Full House was okay. This book was a huge disappointment. The writing is choppy, the humor is corny at best, and the book was difficult to finish because it was so boring.

it as much or even more than Full Tilt. Characters are so enjoyable in both books and am looking forward for the next one.

Review: I enjoy comedy and this is page turning fun. I have never read a Plum novel, so I come with a clean palate. This second installment of the "Full" novels is even better than the first. The attention to detail and research that had to go into this book jumps off of the pages. I read almost any genre and love when I find some true literary talent. I read it, loved it and have recommend it for a wonderful romantic comedy read. I haven't seen it advertised as a spinoff of the Plum books, so I am confused as to why that fan base would assume, that Evanovich can only stretch her talents in one direction. Talk about typecasting!!! This book wasn't one dimensional or predictable and I applaud the new "dynamic duo", Hughes and Evanovich, for this jewel. I look forward to the next "Full" novel and can hardly wait!!!

Review: If you are a fan of the Stephanie Plum books and expect this book to have the same type of writing style you will be disappointed. I do not see Janet Evanovich's writing style at all, maybe it is just Charlotte Hughes style. Whatever style it is I do not like it! JMO

Summary: Fully Madcap
Review: Fun, adventure, and romance! Janet Evanovich has done it again. I marvel at how she can be so divrese. This is no Plum mystery but it is a zany adventure, with lots of humor and wild plot twists. Max Holt is a billionaire inventor and adventurer who comes to the rescue of his sister and brother-in-law (a retired wrestler), who has stepped into a politcal hornet's nest. Max teams up with local newspaper editor Jamie Swift, and Max and Swifty dodge bullets and their mutual attraction throughout. Ms. Hughes and Ms. Evanovich are a great writing duo. I love their preposterous characters and situations, and their bizarre sense of humor.
