Rating: Summary: Couldn't put it down read it in one shift at work Review: This was my first Gerritsen book and I was thrilled by it. She has to be Stephen Kings twin in style and ability. This is a first rate thriller with an attention to detail that is hard to come up with. Looking forward to reading "Gravity" as soon as it comes out in paperback. When will that be?
Rating: Summary: Good entertaiment. Review: This is the first book I have read by this author. I must admit that overall I thought the book was entertaining. However, I became frustrated toward the end and just wanted to finish it. If you read books for pure entertainment then I would suggest this one.
Rating: Summary: Stephen King must have insomnia. Review: Found this book slow and have read better high school senior book reports. It was drawn out with a hurry up lets somehow end this book ending. Not my idea of aa all nighter. Went with Kings recommendation. He should stick to writing not reviewing.
Rating: Summary: fabulous book!! I am sad that I read it so fast. Review: I have read Harvest and Life Support by Gerritsen, and I was anxiously waiting for this to be released. I was just as impressed with this novel as I was with her others. I love her medical thrillers and I can't wait for her next one. I have read a ton of books in this genre - Patricia Cornwall, Michael Palmer, Kathy Reichs, etc. - and Gerritsen is my favorite. If you haven't read anything from her yet, you will be in love with her writing once you do.
Rating: Summary: Hard to put down, I've found a new author. Review: I am a huge King, Koonze, Cook fan and she is a combination of all three with a new twist. I've now ordered two more of hers. Great find.
Rating: Summary: Uneven Medical Thriller Review: The medical scenes in this story were riveting, but when the action slowed down, the dialog became somewhat tedious. The characters were an interesting mix of good versus evil. The plot itself was predictable, but for the most part, well told. A little uneven, but a fairly good story.
Rating: Summary: An outbreak of juvenile violence?...It must be in the water! Review: An interesting perspective..very timely in today's rise in youth violence. Without revealing the plot, this book will burrow itself into your psyche, and never let you go until the final page. It's finally a medical thriller that doesn't attack the dreaded health care providers. This is a refreshing change from the current crop of medical pulp that look under rocks for conspiracies. Better reading than a Cook book. Look forward to my review of "Gravity".
Rating: Summary: I would give this book zero stars if I could-it's THAT bad. Review: This book is an incredibly childish. The scientific part of it is so elementary-any freshman who took Biology I would know more than "Dr. Claire Elliot". I'm guessing that the book was dumbed down for a slower audience, but anyone who has a speck of common sense, reading standards, and a little science know-how will definitely want to AVOID this book.
