Rating: Summary: seriously pyrotechnic stuff Review: Poor Stephanie - car exploded, flat blown up but what the hell, as she gets to have the steamiest scene imaginable with the Divine Morelli (I had to go and have a cold shower after reading it), she might feel it's a small price to pay. Perhaps not the best of the series but I can't wait to find out what happens next. Stephanie is a role model for our times
Rating: Summary: NOT ONE OF EVANOVICH'S BEST! Review: Janet Evanovich still managed to write a funny - but much less so than "One for the Money"- mystery, but I felt this one had too little mystery story in it and too many hard to believe incidents. The "shooting" scene with Sugar was a little funny, but it was just too miraculous an escape even for Stephanie. Also, haven't there been enough car destructions? Time for more plot and fewer harrowing experiences for our heroine. I wonder if the reader from CA noted the use of "choose" (twice!) when, I think, "chose" was the proper tense? Wondering about Number Five!
Rating: Summary: Pure Enjoyment Review: Just finished Evanovich's fourth book, "Four to Score". If you have not read any of her previous books I would encourage you to start with the first one as it sets up her characters and therefore makes each new novel more fun. I loved this book. I sat in a restaurant at lunch time today and 4 people came up and asked me what I was reading. I sat there laughing and smiling for an hour. The book is entertainment at its best. About 8 months after I read one of Evanovich's books I start calling the book store to find out when the next one is due to hit the shelves. Do your self a favor. Buy "One For The Money", Two For the Dough" "Three to Get Deadly" and "Four to Score". You will THANK YOURSELF.
Rating: Summary: Stephanie Plum books are laugh out loud winners. Review: I am one of the many readers who impatiently waited to see what next would happen to Stephanie Plum. Although this is not my favorite book in the series, it is still a five star, funny read. I loved Sally the cross dresser. And I love those family dinners!! I have to confess that I secretly would like to see Stephanie have a one night stand with Ranger, though. I keep giving away my Evanovich novels to good friends and having to then buy more. I sincerely hope Evanovich is writing away on the next one, and that she will not be tempted to end this series and start another any time soon. Stephanie Plum deserves as many novels as say, my first girl hero, Nancy Drew!
Rating: Summary: Fast-paced exciting and hilarious! Review: Stephani Plum is a great character! I can't wait for #5. This book is fast-paced and exciting with a wonderful cast of characters.
Rating: Summary: Another laugh-out-loud Stephanie Plum adventure Review: Needless to say, if you've already read the first three Janet Evanovich books then you're going to read this installment without hesitation. It's an easy read with moments of sheer madness that will have you laughing out loud. Over the top characters appear to have nothing in common but, as always, all the characters are connected in some way that only becomes clear towards the end of the novel. All in all a worthy fourth installment, roll on the fifth.
Rating: Summary: I always enjoy her books and this one was no exception. Fun! Review: I've been a fan of Janet's from the start! Stephanie is a bright, fun character. And I was glad to finally see her hook up (sort of) with Joe in this one! Is there a baby in the future? I sort of hope so and can't wait for number five!
Rating: Summary: Waited for it ,couldn't put it down, ready for next one. Review: Title for next book, got a couple,Five to Survive, or Five to Thrive. Then if you do a movie ie,Kristen Lehman as Miss Plum, Ray Liota as Morelli. Then the black lady who does the Lysol commercials ,I could see her jumping with beads in her hair.So far that my picks for future screen personalities. I heard about your books on a T.V. show , I think it was on Sunday Morning with Charles (new guy). But have remembered your books since and have gotten several of my friends to read them and they love them ,too.
Rating: Summary: Stephanie and Joe finally do the "dirty deed"!!! Review: Well, this is not the best of the four, but it is still entertaining, funny and a quick read. I loved the new characters, happy that Rex didn't die and could feel the passion finally ignite BIG time between Joe and Steph. Unfortunately, I also found two typos, that I hope are corrected in future editions: dessert is spelled "desert" in one place and on another page there is a period instead of a comma or visa versa. Not being nit-picky...I am a writer so I tend to notice these things! Good, light, entertaining summer read.
Rating: Summary: A Plum Crazy Book! Review: This was the first Stephanie Plum book that I read. I don't know which was funnier, the situations Stephanie got into or trying to explain her mishaps to her family. I liked it so much, I had to get the first three. Each one is a story unto itself so, if you don't read them in order, it doesn't matter but, I started with One for the Money. Stephanie is no Wonder Woman which makes her very likable. It seems that none of the people in Stephanie's life are entirely normal, which makes them very likable. Great fun to read!!
