Rating: Summary: Bravo Ms. Evanovich, Bravo! Review: I came to the "Stephanie Plum"/Janet Evanovich books late in life (they were recommended to me at a review website) I proceeded to check out the first four at my local library. Of the four I have read so far, "Four to Score" has been my favorite. I loved it most because it delved more into the relationship between Stephanie and Morelli, sigh! I hope the next books continue on the same path! I love all the secondary characters too. Ecspecially Stephanie's grandma. What a hoot. I see a little bit of my family in hers, maybe that is why the book so appealed to me. I like the way the author pulls you into life in the berg or is it burg? whatever, I love these books, they are so different from everything else that is out there now. Keep up the excellent work Ms. Evanovich.
Rating: Summary: HILARIOUS FROM BEGINNING TO END. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE Review: THE ENTIRE CAST OF CHARACTERS FROM THE STEPANIE PLUM SERIES HAS EVOLVED WITH EACH NEW BOOK. I FIND MYSELF LAUGHING MORE AND MORE WITH EACH ONE. BUT WITH FOUR TO SCORE IT WAS NEVERENDING. IT HAS TO BE ONE OF MY FAVORITES FOR THE YEAR. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE.
Rating: Summary: Wow, Stephanie Plum at her best! Review: Definately one of Evanovich's best books. In fact, the best. The characters are entertaining and the plot never drags. Two for the Dough was disappointing, but Four to Score never slowed down. When I finished, I found myself having to let out the breath that I had been holding. I was also pleased to see Stephanie and Morelli finally get togethor.
Rating: Summary: Even Better the Second time Review: I just finished Four to Score for the second time and it was even better than the first. Knowing the plot and knowing where the relationship with Morelli was going let me relax and savor the new characters (hope she brings Sally back), and Grandma Mazur's one liners. I miss the east coast and Janet Evanovich brings it back with the sounds and smells and eccentricities (spelling?) better than any other author I have read so far. While you're waiting for #5 to come out in paperback, go back and read this one nice and slow.
Rating: Summary: As good as the other three in the series Review: While I wait for the fifth book to come out in paperback, I tried to read this as slowly as I could and I failed! The story is funny as usual. I can see that I am getting attracted to Morelli more and more. The only thing that disappointed me was that Grandma Mazur was not involved as much as I wanted her to be. I just love her in action. Looking forward to the next book!
Rating: Summary: ITS ABOUT TIME!!! Review: It is not too often that you find a book that makes you truly laugh out loud. Once I started I couldn't put it down and finished it in a day. What a perfect escape from the daily grind. I was so excited to find out that there are 4 other books that follow this wonderful character "Stephanie Plum".
Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT Review: I tried reading this slowly but I just couldn't do it. I've finished the whole series in like a month and now I just don't know what to do with myself. I tried reading other books and nothing compares to Evanovich. I feel envious of the people that are reading this currently because I wish I was reading it. Who knows maybe I'll read it over again.
Rating: Summary: Stephanie and Morelli finally get it on! Review: Well, it took four books, but the hot-sweet simmering between New Jersey's most amazing bounty hunter and its hunkiest cop finally comes to a head in Four To Score, and it is well worth waiting for! The bathroom is already steaming from Stephanie's shower when Joe Morelli makes his move, and readers' hearts will beat a whole lot faster. Oh, yeah, the rest of the story's not bad, either, with Stephanie on the trail of an elusive skip who pops up every now and then to torment her ex-boyfriend...and Stephanie. Grandma Mazur and the rest of the gang at Vinnie's Bail Bonds are in great form, and there might be a new "regular" in the outlandish cast of characters, a musical transvestite. Excellent plot involving counterfeit $20 bills and folks who are not at all what they seem. Highly, highly recommended, and then some!
Rating: Summary: FINALLY!!! Review: Finally irresistable Morelli and Stephanie "DO THEDEED"!!! And deliciously so. The book is hilarious as usual, has many twists and turns (though the Crossdresser's boyfriend connection was easy to figure out). Grandma Mazur is still hilarious, Ranger and Lulu flesh out and become more interesting in every book. Cannot wait to read the next book and find out what happens next? Is someone planning on making this series into a movie or TV series? They should! I think Joan Cusak would be great as Stephanie (and I don't normally think of her for anything, but think it would work). Lulu could be played by "Jackie from 227 fame or recording diva Missy Misdemeanor", Connie by any bossy, buxom Italian actress, Vinnie by any number of slight sleezy guys, Ranger...very important...hunky cubano type.....and now, for Morelli. This is pivotal...gotta be very italian, cocky, sexy....how about recruiting Michael Imperioli from the Sopranos or another studly italian type. Let me know what you think!
Rating: Summary: Lots, and Lots, and Lots of laugher Review: Words cannot tell you enough about how good this book is. In fact words can't tell you enough about the entire series. I just finisted High Five a few minutes ago. The whole series is TOP NOTCH. I am very anxious for # 6 to come out. Ms. Evanovich, you cannot write them fast enough for me.
