Rating: Summary: All I can say is Wow! Review: How does Grisham do it everytime! Right when you think everything is okay, something big happens! Like his house burning down, or when the Ku Klux Klan took the law clerk. She was one of the main characters, who would have thought she was going to get hurt?
Rating: Summary: One of my favorites!!! Review: This book is one of my favorite John Grisham novels and I have read them all except for his latest. The opening paragraph get you on the edge of your seat from the beginning. This is one book that I could not ptu down
Rating: Summary: Grisham's best yet. Review: When I started reading John Grisham I really didn't understand the subjects that he used. Until I got older. When I first read A Time To Kill I fell in love with the story. I bought the book when the movie came out and I still read the book. This has to be John Grisham at his best. The story is so real and the charactors are so real. So to sum it up I love this book almost as much the movie. So thank John Grisham for the fantasic book. I'll keep reading your books.
Rating: Summary: Grisham's best by far! Review: After already having read most of John Grisham's book prior to this, this by far surpasses all the others. I am wondering what took me so long to read it. I stayed up late at night until my eyes wouldn't stay open any more. It has it all. My interest never lagged, as it often does in some books, especially in the middle. From the first page to the last, I though it was an extremely well written novel
Rating: Summary: A Time To Kill is an exceptional page turner by John Grisham Review: If you liked the Pelican Brief, the Chamber, and The Firm you will be sure to like his best book yet, A time to kill.Be sure to purchase this exceptional page turner.
It's a story of racial violence and justice. In this best selling drama John Grisham probes the depths of racism in a small southern town.
Where a ten year old black girls life is shattered by two intoxicated white men. The mostly white town was horrifed by the crime until, the girls father took justice in his own hands and murdered the two men responsible. For almost two weeks the town was in an uproar as the racial tension emerged to a point where the younger lawyer defending the father struggled to save his own life and the life of his client.
Rating: Summary: It's very touchy Review: This book containing human relationship, not about money or anything else in return to find justice.
There is much love and kindness about people which we do not see or find much in these days. We can see how someone fight for someone else faith about what he done for, although most of people said that he was wrong. To the author, good luck and write as much as you can such kind of story !
Rating: Summary: I think this is one of Grisham's best. Review: I was engrossed in the story from page one. It held my interest and I couldn't put it down. The characters were all presented well and you got to love or hate them in relatively quick time. I though the plot was very realistic for the period and I wondered why this book wasn't made into a movie before some of his later books
Rating: Summary: Once I started I couldn't put the book down!!! Review: When two drunken white men rape and beat a little black girl it turns the town upside down. The little girl's father decides to take justice into his own hands and kill those two white boys. When the young attorney of the town takes the case it is up to him to save his client's life and his own
Rating: Summary: Fantastic, great and thrilling to read. Review: The book "A time to Kill" was great. It was thrilling, exciting and a book that you don't want to put down. The whole book it exciting and gets you jumpy. I read lots of books so far and it was the most thrilling
Rating: Summary: Reads like the great american novel! Review: This is the best book that Mr. Grisham has written. Race relations being what they are, this account really tugs at the heart. It is preached that two wrongs do not make a right, and this is true. But you can feel the rage jump off the page as the black father is torn with rage by the brutal beating and rape of his young daughter. I don't have girls but empathize with father .The young lawyer really comes of age on these pages as he is confronted with his own prejudices and beliefs. This book reads more like literature than his other huge bestsellers do
