Review: Of all the John Grisham's books this has to be right up there with The Firm. All of the characters are actually developed unlike some OTHER books that I won't mention (coughcoughrainmakercoughcough). I'm surprised The Firm is what cought people's attention to John Grisham rather than this book. EVERYONE should read this book and decide not to just because the movie wasn't that great.

Review: I have read each of John Grishams novels and in reflection would rate "A Time to Kill" the best. It has the most touching characters and their stories unfold dramaticly throughout the novel for the most impacting ending of any of his stories. Unlike the dark characters of his other books, A Time to Kill's characters have impacting deep backgrounds that allow the reader to know them. I read this book in color even though it was written in black and white.

Review: This is the first John Grisham book I've read and definitely his best. I started reading it at nine o'clock at night and stayed up till three to get it done. I loved it, I really did. Before I read A Time to Kill, things were black and white. Murder was wrong no matter what the cause. But now? I'm not so sure...

Review: This John Grisham novel takes place deep down in the South, and is the story of how the black race has to deal with discrimmination. A young black girl is raped by two white criminals, and they are about to stand trial for their actions. Before the case ever comes before the courts, the black girl's father murders both men in cold blood. A white lawyer is hired to take the case, and this will make or break his career. The complications that Grisham adds to his novel not only add to the supsense, but keep his readers zoomed into the plot. Anyone who reads this novel will not be disappointed, and will be sure to pick up another John Grisham novel in the future.

Summary: A very realistic account of a highly emotional story.
Review: I grew up in Mississippi, in the area where John Grisham's novels usually take place. I am well acquainted with the incident that probably originally inspired Mr. Grisham to develop the plot of this book. Although in the actual incident, the little girl was white, and the rapist black, the reversal that was in the novel made for a very fascinating situation. I also thought of the grief and frustration of the father of the girl, and was deeply moved by the portrayal of the father in the book. The characters in the book are so familiar, and the story details so obviously personal, that this may very well remain, in my opinion and many others', Grisham's finest.

Summary: I still got chill bumps even after having seen the movie
Review: this book was awesome. im a usually a pretty busy person, but i managed to read this book in eight days, which is quick for me, because of its quality. i was amazed at how much i liked the book after i had already seen the movie. i think it brings up a good point in our judicial system too. if your bored, then read this book. if ur not bored, read this book anyway and you'll be having even more enjoyment in your life.

Summary: Fatally addicting!
Review: This was my first book by John Grisham. It was very capivating, I had a real hard time putting it down. His writing is very easy reading and uncomplicated. The storyline is one in which as a parent you can relate to wholeheartedly. At numberous times I found myself getting very angry with the way in which the story characters were being treated, which is reality, but the outcome can be related to totally.
