Rating: Summary: What a bunch of garbage! Review: A one star rating is too generous. I was so dissapointed with this book. I could'nt finish it. It was not helpful in anyway. Don't waste your money.
Rating: Summary: This book made me Puke! Review: You must be a really empty person to want to indulge in this guy's advice. Out of curiousity, does anyone know what kind of monk Gray was? Catholic? Buddhist?
Rating: Summary: Thanks for all these Love vitamins ... Review: I never think of filling up those so-called " TANKS" ... and this is so true that we never stop to look at what we are having or missing. I think we really need to 'WANT WHAT WE HAVE" so that we can appreciate things we are REALLY having but we never KNOW they exist ... Great to keep those FILLING-UP-TANKS idea ... they are just great!!!
Rating: Summary: Insightful, uplifting, penetrating! Review: John Gray presents a rare gift - insight into the human spirit. By showing how he looked into himself and then teaching how to look into our own souls he presents the reader with a formula for personal success.I highly recommend this book, although the recommendation comes with a warning - Caution: You just might get happiness and what you really want.
Rating: Summary: PSYCHOBABBLE GOBBLE-DI-GOOK!! Review: A Book like this is what is wrong with America in the 90s. Soccer moms should love this.
Rating: Summary: Big Disappointment - Couldn't Finish It Review: What a disappointment after reading Gray's Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus. That book had some profound insights into the cultural differences between the sexes and how that impacts on relationships. I found no profound insights in this book, none whatsoever. To be fair, I didn't read very far. It was just too boring and repetitious. I found myself wondering if this could be the same author. What I read seem to be a neverending pitch for Gray's seminars - sort of a written infomercial.
Rating: Summary: This is such an amazing book that literally changed my life Review: This book helped me in so many ways and has changed my life so much more for the better. I wish I could thank John Grey himself because he will never know what he has done for me! I'm A 16 year old female and have had many problems in the past that I've never been able to let go of. I just suppresed the memories but the feelings of unworthiness still lingered in my mind. This book taught me how to let go of the pain , and what it did for me was truly amazing! In the past year since I've read the book I personally think that I have matured so much! I look at life totally differently and when a problem comes up I know I can process and deal with it with strength and confidence. John will never know what he has done for me but I can honestly say that he's ny hero and I love him! He's helped me so much in ways that I thought I'd never be able to overcome. So John,if you ever read this I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. You will never know what you've done for me. And to the people who trashed his book, John is so much better than you and if you can't find a sense of peace with yourself after reading this book somethings definetly wrong with you!
Rating: Summary: The best thing that ever happened to me Review: This book has two great new ideas. First, there is the statement of love vessels, which is an understanding theory of energy systems in human relations and in one's personal growth. Second, Gray is teaching a fantastic meditation skill, as i got it in my fingers really in 10 minutes. The supposed relation to subconsciousness and long-term-memory seems to be the practical key to an easy-to-learn meditation technique. Thanks, mr. John Gray, for sharing this.
Rating: Summary: Meditation is not the answer to success Review: Basically this book says that to be successful you should meditate, and have all of your love buckets filled. If this sounds like your type of plan for success, then buy the book. This book only seems to be for die hard John Gray fans, and people who have everything they thought they wanted and are not happy, or those who are trying to convince themselves that they are happy with their lot in life. Buy an Anthony Robbins' book, or one from someone else who provides practical success insights.
