Summary: I love Julie Garwood, but I was disappointed in this book.
Review: I feel this book didn't live up to her other books. I've read every single one of them and this one didn't leave me with a "Oh I wish this book never ended feeling", that I usually get. She is still my favorite author. I just feel that this book wasn't one up her best. It didn't capture my heart the way "The Bride", "Gentle Warrior", "The Lion's Lady" and "Guardian Angel" did. (Just to name a few.) Read it and you form your own opinion.

Summary: JULIE GARWOOD IS THE VERY BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: I LOVE JULIE GARWOOD AND HAVE ALL OF HER BOOKS, THE CLAYBOURNE FAMILY IS THE BEST. YOU CAN'T PUT HER BOOKS DOWN.IF THE WEST WAS ANYTHING LIKE HER BOOKS I SURELY WOULD WANT TO LIVE THERE NOW. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!!!!!!!

Summary: A great novel, but I am still wondering
Review: I really did enjoy this book, but I am still wondering if Cole is related to Daniel. For some reason I was under the impression that they were brothers (or at the very least cousins). I seem to remember some sort of clue to that effect in one of the previous "Claybourne" novels. Otherwise this was a very charming and imaginative work by Ms. Garwood. I especially like the touch of mystery she threw in. What a twist! Julie Garwood never seems to disappoint me with her books. Thanks again Julie!!!

Summary: Good, but I expected more.
Review: The story itself moved fairly quickly, however, I was vastly disappointed with Ms. Garwood's lack of character development. When the heroine was introduced I asked myself, "Is she the one? Is this all there is?" Furthermore, the character of Cole Clayborne was less developed in the book starring him than in For the Roses, where he was only a minor character. I didn't feel as if I was as familiar with the characters as I could've been. And that distance left me reacting somewhat coldly toward the characters and their respective plights. I didn't consider this book a waste of my time but I would not classify it as one of Ms. Garwood's best.

Summary: Good read, but I felt cheated.
Review: Julie Garwood's special touch was missing from this one, i.e...humor. The previous "Rose" books were outstanding! Since "Come The Spring" concluded the "Rose" saga, it would have been wonderful if all of the brothers were active in the storyline. Jessica and Cole made an ideal couple, but their relationship could have been built up a little better. I hope Marshall Ryan and Grace will have their own storyline (Hint-Hint). Julie Garwood's books are still THE BEST!! Keep up the good work!

Summary: It was disappointing.
Review: Somehow the impression was given, in previous books, that Ryan & Cole might be related - thus mention of their similar looks. I missed the rest of the Clayborne Family in this too. There were too many characters, too many love interests. Characters weren't developed like usual. The ending of this family saga should have included the rest of the family that we have grown to know and love...not a bunch of new people with no mention of the old. Cole's love interest is fine, but give Daniel Ryan his own book. But my real question is why was the impression given that he might be Cole's brother or father?????

Summary: Disappointing. Too many characters, not enough romance.
Review: This book lost my interest during the first four chapters, when I realized that Garwood wasn't going to settle on a single hero and heroine. Not only that, but the women in the story lack any charm but beauty, and lack the strength and humor of Garwood's usual heroines. Anyone who reads mysteries will see the plot twists coming a mile away. And if you read romances for the development of characters and relationships, you will be disappointed.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: This read was not as gripping as The Wedding.
Review: Judy has failed in this book to keep the readers interest from not only the first chapter but for most of the book. The book was boring and heavy going in parts and lacked her usual sense of humor.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: COLE'S STORY IS GREAT, BUT ANTICLIMATIC
Review: I HAVE FOLLOWED THE CLAYBOURNE FAMILY FROM"FOR THE ROSES". I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW MANY TIMES THEY'VE MADE ME LAUGH AND CRY WITH ALL OF THEIR FAMILY ANTICS. AFTER READING THE "CLAYBOURNE BRIDES" TRILOGY, I WAS FAIRLY SALIVATING AT THE CHANCE TO READ COLE'S STORY. AS USUAL, JULIE COMBINED HER SPECIAL BLEND OF ROMANCE, HUMOR, AND SUSPENSE TO WEAVE A MAGICAL TALE. HOWEVER, AFTER ALL THE ANTICIPATION, I WAS, SADLY, DISAPPOINTED. ALTHOUGH DANIEL RYAN IS GORGEOUS, HE SHOULD HAVE HAD HIS OWN STORY. I WANTED TO READ ABOUT COLE AND THE CLAYBOURNES, AND DANIEL REALLY DETRACTED FROM THE STORY. NOT TO SAY I DON'T THINK DANIEL IS SEXY AND ROMANTIC, I JUST WANTED TO READ MORE ABOUT THE CLAYBOURNES. I WAS DISAPPOINTED THAT WE DIDN'T GET TO SEE HOW THE REST OF THE FAMILY WAS DOING. I LOVE JULIE GARWOOD, BUT I WISH THIS BOOK HAD BEEN MORE ABOUT THE FAMILY THAT I'VE COME TO LOVE AS MY OWN. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE BOOK, BUT WAIT FOR THE PAPERBACK.

Summary: I laughed, I cried, I'd read it again ....
Review: For all those who love the kind of story where good triumphs over evil, where heartbreaks led to better days and where love can conquer all, Julie Garwood's "Come the Spring" is a definite must read. Once again she has achieved a wonderful mix of colorful characters, and this final installment in the Rose series is Julie Garwood at her best. I didn't think she could surpass "The Wedding," but she managed to do so quite well. When I closed the book, I had a smile on my face. Thank you Ms. Garwood, from one Kansas girl to another.
