Summary: Wonderful
Review: This was great. I loved Cole. The plot was cool. I wish it had more about the other kids, I'd like to know what happened to Travis and Emily, but Cole is still one of my favorite characters. I loved Jessica, she was perfect for him. This is a great book. I suggest you read it for yourself.

Summary: ANYBODY BADMOUTHING THE CLAYBOURNE BRIDE SERIES LISTEN UP:
Review: The first time I read the Claybourne Bride Series, I fell in love with it. They were terrific, and Julie, if you would happen to be reading this, I think should do more stories like this! And anyone who says any different than that can put it where the sun don't shine. They were great. I have to say that Cole was my favorite, too, and I do feel that Come the Spring should have been more about him rather than that Daniel Ryan guy, I absolutely love Cole. Julie, you did good!

Summary: Not up to Julie Garwood's usual standard.
Review: If another author wrote 'Come the Spring' I would think this was a fairly okay novel. However, I have come to expect something very special from Julie Garwood, and as such was very disappointed. Usually, I am unable to put her stories down until finished. It took me a week to finish this one. As there were two concurrent romances described, the reader only got to know the characters fairly superficially. The warmth and humour that is Julie Garwood's trademark was missing. The background to the novel did not capture my imagination - it was a little violent and appeared out of character for the author. Please Ms Garwood, take us back to the Highlands!

Summary: Hard put to finish this book!!
Review: Julie Garwood has been my favorite author for years and I have all her books. Unfortunately, this book was One Big Yawn!!! Cole was my favorite brother from "For the Roses" and I felt cheated with his story. Ms. Garwood's usual humor and hilarious plot lines were sorely missing. Sorry, but I could barely finish this book. Thanks Ms. Garwood for leaving the westerns and going back to the Highlands again with "Ransom".

Summary: It is absolutely wonderful and hard to put down.
Review: This book is outstanding. I am in the process of reading it now and I can't put it down. I love how I'm on the edge of my seat through the whole thing. I never quite know what will happen next. After reading For the Roses I was in love with Cole. I was disappointed when she wrote about the other brothers in the Roses trilogy and seemed to forget about Cole. The trilogy was terrific, but my favorite will always be Cole. When I heard about this book coming out, it couldn't come out fast enough. I am truly enjoying this book. I am almost through with it. I have about 100 pages left to read, and I started reading it this morning. As I said, I can't put it down. I know that you will enjoy it just as much as I am.

Summary: Kind of a disappointing end to the Roses.
Review: It wasn't a really bad book, it just wasn't very memorable either. I really enjoyed "For the Roses" and I even got a kick out of the Red, White and Pink novels. BUT this was a disappointing conclusion to the rest of the series and it was a very disappointing take on Cole's story. (Personally, Cole was one of my favourites and there was so much more that could have been done for him.)

Where were all of the other brothers? Where were Mama and Mary Rose? Daniel was all right, but if you ask me, he should have been left out of the story, and his pages should have been devoted to the rest of the Clayborne clan.

If you're a big fan of Garwood and the Roses series, read it. If not, pick up one of her other novels instead. You'll enjoy it more.

Summary: Great ending to a great series!
Review: I was really looking forward to reading "Come the Spring" and when I got it for christmas, the only thing I did was read it. About less than a week later, I had a dreamy look on my face. I was so pleased at the end. Julie Garwood was brilliant to make up such a great series.

Summary: OK...I guess
Review: I absolutley loved "For the Roses" so I was looking forward to reading "Come the Spring." All I have to say is tht is was just OK. It was good, but it could still use a little improvement. I still suggest reading "Come the Spring." It was a good book. But Julie Garwood did better in "The Bride" and "For the Roses." I suggest reading those most certainly.
