Summary: Enjoyable
Review: I read For the Roses and I absolutely loved it. It wasn't disappointed at all by Come the Spring. It is a continuing saga of the Clayborne family. It centers on Cole Clayborne the gunslinger son. It was a powerful story I would definitely recommend it.

Summary: Nice plot, but...
Review: The plot of this book got us off to a good start. After the first few pages, I was looking forward to a good read, my first Garwood book.

As I progressed into the text, however, the characters never really developed. Worse, the emotions, behaviors, and particularly the dialogue between the characters seemed stiff, and didn't make sense to me.

I'm not a reader of this genre who needs complete reality. Lets face it, we want to be entertained. If we want reality, there are plenty of great non-fiction books. But the key for me at least, is well crafted, creative and realistic dialogue through which the reader can relate to the characters. Nora Roberts is superb at this. Even Susan Phillips with her wacky, contrived situations, delivers a good read because her characters have personality.

I have to admit, I couldn't finish the book. My rule is, after saying "Oh, for Pete's sake!", to myself five times, I give up. Oh well. Reading these reviews makes one thing clear. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For each one of me, there are many more who loved the book. As it should be.

Summary: Wonderful
Review: Julie Garwood tells the best love stories, I will always cherish her books. I believe you will be moved by her tale, not only for the main characters but by the love of "family".

Summary: Come the Spring
Review: I was really happy to see that Cole finally found someone to love. Out of all of the brothers he was the one I grew to really like and want to see happy. Please keep writing. I really like the highland stories of hers such as Ransom,Thewedding ANd my alltime favoriate Saving Grace.

Summary: Disappointing. Only finished it because it was a Clayborne.
Review: I love Julie Garwood, and adored For the Roses. I even liked the 3 Clayborne Brides books and was ecstatic when I learned that Cole (my favourite) would be the brother to get the full-lengthed novel. I was very disappointed with the novel when I read it, though.

What happened to the rest of the Claybornes? I was so looking forward to seeing all the Claybornes together again for the grand finale but instead we got 2 pages, and only Mama Rose got to really say anyting. Jessica seemed a lame match for Cole, and I didn't think they should have gotten together at all. And why was there so much of Daniel Ryan? While he was interesting, I think he could have been left out of the story and been replaced by the rest of the Claybornes and Mama Rose.

Some others have mentioned that this was too violent. That part didn't bother me, I just found the story uncompelling, and not nearly as rich as the rest of the series. Ms. Garwood, can you rewrite this book?

Summary: Sensational!
Review: Between Cole andDaniel Ryan this book kept me spellbound,i did'nt want to put this book down and when i did i couldn't wait to read more. When Cole asked Miss.Jessica to marry,it was such a pleasure to know that a man of his statue would do that in those days. They truly loved each other.Would definitly recomeed,

Summary: Hard to put down!
Review: I've never been a major fan of suspense but Julie Garwood really kept me on my toes as I tried to figure out who was actually the true witness in the story. I really love the way Ms Garwood weave both the suspense as well as the romance elements into the plot. "Come the Spring" is a wonderful finish to the stories of "For the Roses" and "The Clayborne Brides".

Summary: Enchantingly written
Review: Come the Spring is my all time favorite by Julie Garwood. Cole Claborne is my favorite brother from the Clayborne Brides and Rose Hill. The story was heartstopping and aching. Julie Garwood always knows how to do it. She is amazing.

Summary: One of My All Time Favorites!!!
Review: Mrs. Garwood, you have triumphed again. This book was the first I read in the Roses Trilogy, and it has the most romantic story line involved. Escapist novels like this are so wonderful to read when I just want to relax. The way you provide the heroine with so much personality and humor makes the whole story, instead of them being timid females who cower at men. This is the way a romance should be!!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Garwood is my favorite author from now on
Review: This was one of the first novel I have read that I enjoyed so much I had to read over and over. She makes the book come to life. This is the first time that I am writing a review online and I am enjoying sharing her work with others. Everyone should read her books, you won't regret a minute of it.
