Summary: Two books in one: A bad thing
Review: After studying this book I've decided that it's really two different books. The book was written by two different authors who have subtle but opposing viewpoints. The first author, whose theme is dominant throughout the book, insists that husbands should submit to their wives in everything, giving up their essence and individuality to do so. He misquotes scripture, makes generalizations about men that are often untrue, and his assumption is that husbands essentially emotionally abuse their wives and should stop. Since he was like this in the early part of his marriage, I understand why he makes that assumption.

The second author's theme is that of mutual submission. He writes that husbands should consult with their wives in decision making, that the wife has needs unique to being a woman, and that a husband should strive to meet them. He points out that the wife won't always get her way and that the method in which you communicate that is important. His is the minority theme in the book.

You can tell which author wrote what sections. Sometimes a new paragraph will be written by the other author, and even though there is no subheading or anything in the text to indicate a change in authorship, the tone changes so drastically that you re-read the section trying to figure out why the theme of the chapter just changed and why the text is convoluted.

Overall I disliked this book a great deal. It is unbalanced, suggesting that every problem in a marriage is the fault of the husband, and the first author stereotypes men as abusers, something not true of all men.

Summary: Great not just for husbands
Review: I don't have a wife yet, and in fact I am MANY steps away from getting one (LOL!). But I am very glad that I read this book. Not only that it will help me become a better husband, it also helps me better understand women in general. This book explains, in a convincing way, what it really means to be "manly". All guys should read this, and if we all follow the guidelines suggested by the authors, I bet this would be a better world.

Summary: Another awesome work but not all women will respond
Review: I have to start this review stating that I have many years of sexual addiction issue and "Every Man's Battle" is probably one of the best books on the subject ever written. It is because of the open honesty or Fred and Steve.

In "Every Woman's Desire" the main point is men are told to become a Bond Servant to the oneness of your marriage. When the husband does this his wife will be getting what she needs and theoretically she will respond to the husbands needs.

Unfortunately the authors are not familiar with women in the northeast corridor of the USA. Feminism has ingrained in the minds of most women that she must NEVER be intimate with her husband unless she is in the mood. Otherwise tough luck. It is her body!

Take heart though, all women will appreciate being honored and loved as this book describes but not all women will reciprocate beyond "thanks honey".

Summary: Dont' Wait-Read It Now!
Review: The marital oneness is not a new theory, however, it is written about in a way that we can all understand and relate to. It is also the one thing that will keep your marriage together. Without it, couples struggle and can't figure out what is wrong. They divorce and remarry only to go through more struggles. God Bless the authors for sharing in this way. This book has revolutionized my marriage. This is an excellent book for wedding gifts, anniversary gifts. Every married couple should own it. Every single person desiring to be married must read it! Because if you cannot submit as described in this book or do not have an interest in creating marital oneness, then you should NOT get married.

Summary: A "must read" for every man and woman
Review: What an encouraging book this was for me. I feel that the authors truly understand a woman's desire for intimacy in a marriage. This is a fresh approach towards that goal and I have found it to be very promising. Most paths towards intimacy come up short - and some can even be damaging (like the "tie-breaker" model of Biblical submission). There were times while I was reading this book when I began to cry - feeling that, at last, someone understands.
