Summary: Good meditations, just talks too fast
Review: I really have enjoyed John Edward's meditations, especially the one "meeting my spiritual guides". What bothers me is he just talks way too fast and doesn't give you a chance to linger in the meditation. One meets their guide and John Edward instructs to ask several rapid questions such as their name, what I am to learn during this meditation and before he takes a breath and gives a chance to hear the answers we are asked to say good bye. I would of liked it better if he guides us to ask prepared questions on the instructional side of the tape and gives a chance to hear the answer to our question while he stays quiet for a minute. I do like that John Edward speaks in easy to visualize terms.

Summary: Great, but not amazing
Review: I started this today with a veiw to opening myself up to things unseen. I am a MASSIVE fan of John and had high hope for this tape. I love his style and loved the opening section about his own experiences. The visualizations are gorgeous and permiate (sp) thought and meditation easily.

I have only done tape one so far and already have a few niggles. The breathing (Branic) technique that he uses is nigh on impossible to stay attuned to, his six second count was all out and slightly painful to achieve. The other niggle I have is that I kept hearing a whisper right at the back of the recording. A voice most definately. I played it to my partner and he seemed to think that it was side a playing backwards and that parhaps my tape was dicky. I couldn't help feeling though that I was in fact being hypnotised in some way. OK maybe I am crazy but I'd love to hear if anyone else has heard it too (I am not certified I swear)

All in all I'd like to say. Lovely visualisations, lovely voice, but over priced and harder work than is nessisary (sp)

Summary: Raising Your Awareness
Review: I will never be considered a occult type person, but I've always felt that we are not alone in this world. These tapes provide a reasonable procedure and help with anyone who would like to raise their awareness of things around them. It might not be for everyone, but for those who do want to try I find that it gave me a method to try.

Summary: not what the title promises
Review: I will not recommend these casettes, for one thing as it is mostly about other things than what the title describes. On the last of the four casettes he comes a little to the point. He speeks very fast and stresses the meditation parts of the cassettes, counting to six half of the time. This must be a cassette for someone who never tried meditating before, but how they can not get stressed from his speedy annoying counting all through it I wonder. It is more like a breathing cassette for someone doing a gymnastic rehearsal.
i want my money back!
Go somewhere else if you are interested in this issue. You do not find anything about guides or angels here, only a description of walking out and into doors in the last cassette page to meet someone. this cassette makes me just stressed.
I ordered many books this time, and loved the others, but this one I really get irritated with, it is not worth the buy. And that is why I had to write this at least, if i don't get my money back. So others wont be disappointed too, if they think they will be very enlightened here. He talks too much and too fast, and gives me a headache.... at least I know how to count to six.
If you manage his hasty speech, the last page of the four casettes can be ok for a meditative journey to meet someone, if you are in a hurry, and likes to get things done quickly - cause here you have no time to relax!

Summary: Almost Great
Review: I'm a big fan of John Edward's work, and this is no exception. The meditations are excellent, and his frank, no-nonsense style is a refreshing change from other breathy-voiced, flaky meditation tapes.

However, as one reviewer said, he does talk very fast. Sometimes he tells you to do something, and before you can even think about it, he moves on. In addition, the pranic breathing is extremely difficult and is more anxiety-inducing than relaxing. It's hard to get in synch with his counting, and my lung function is too limited to allow me to inhale/exhale for so many counts (I'm asthmatic.)

However, it won't prevent me from buying his other tapes. I'll just play them at 1/2 speed. ;)

Summary: awesome!
Review: John Edward is so awesome with his choice of words and his wisdom. His meditation tapes have taken me to a world I didn't know how to get to. His work is 2nd to none. My respect for him grows each time I read, hear or see something.. He shows a person how to take something another person gives, and make it work for ones self.. (which I feel is his ultimate goal) take an idea.. and flow with it. in your own way, time and pace.

Summary: Interesting view
Review: John Edward relates a couple amusing anecdotes concerning his instruction in meditative practices, and he provides a brief but helpful description of the chakras, kundalini and the distinction between angels and spirit guides. I found his personal views to be interesting indeed. I have to agree with another reviewer, however, that the visualization exercises (two on 1B, and two on 2B) are rushed and end too abruptly, and his timing for 'pranic breathing' is out of synchronization more often than not--so much so that I find trying to follow his lead distracting and occasionally halting, which is not at all conducive to deep meditation. Mr. Edward prefers a 6 count inhalation, 2 count rest, 6 count exhalation pattern, with an indeterminable rest following, very arbitrary under his direction. Those with experience in breathing patterns might prefer a more definitive 6-2-6-2-6 etc. pattern, or a 6-3-6-3, 8-4-8-4 pattern. I did the best I could under the circumstances, however, and I did manage to construct some very moving and eleborate imagery on the first try. I've decided to either try and memorize his visual cues, or perhaps even transcribe his tape and create my own, with more accurate timing, because I believe under the proper circumstances his suggestions could be very fruitful and rewarding.

Summary: Meditation made simple
Review: John Edwards takes you step by step to learn how to meditate. This isn't a learn in one day tape set, but if followed can help you to reach your goal to learn to meditate and learn how to get in touch with your spirit. I enjoyed his presentation.
