Rating: Summary: Saw Author on the Today SHow and... Review: I happened to see the author of this book on the Today show this week and was intriqued, so I went to the store to check it out. The book has some very practical, useful information in it and I know that I will feel comfortable using almost all of the steps. Step #10 doesn't look so easy to do, but the rest do. This program seems like the best of its kind out there. Ms. Greenwald has hit the nail on the head. I'm excited to find a program mentor and get started.
Rating: Summary: Definitive work on MArketing Review: By taking a hard sell product, Greenwald has written a definitive work on marketing
Rating: Summary: so glad she took the time to write it Review: I found "find a husband after 35 very helpful with Ms. Greenwald's 15 step program - not all good for me but some ideas well worth trying - have already used several and I think I may be the next one "down the aisle" --- hope you will also ----
Rating: Summary: Helpful with tough tactics Review: This is a wake up call for women to get proactive on their dating. One of my single friends said she could not do these steps (too difficult) but I think anything worth having in life takes a little extra effort! I know so many women who just sit around waiting for the phone to ring and I think it's silly not to work at this. I'll keep you posted!
Rating: Summary: Doing the most with what is within your control Review: The strategies provided in this book help you to consider all options and focus on finding the right man. The strategies are useful, but I know many women who have done everything to find a mate and still have not found him because they have a pattern of self-sabotage. I recommend you read Optimal Thinking: How to Be Your Best Self along with this book, so that you can learn how to eliminate self sabotage, to be your best regardless of the circumstances, and make the most of every situation.
Rating: Summary: Smart Review: I think this book is very smart. It made me think about dating in a whole new way, and at age 58 being back in the dating market for 8 years, that's really saying something! The ideas are really creative - I can't wait to try them out, espcially Step #9.
Rating: Summary: A Sensible Approach Review: As a 39 year old single Wharton Business School graduate, I was thrilled to read this book. Greenwald adopts basic marketing techniques and teaches the reader to market herself effectively. It is a take control program, completely empowering for a single woman. Finally someone has stepped beyond the typical pop-psychology books and given women a sensible and methodical means to finding a partner. I am on the Program!
Rating: Summary: Feminist Raves Over "How to Find a Husband" Review: I was certain that I would find a book about how to market yourself like a product in order to find a partner appalling, however I was pleasantly surprised by "How to Find a Husband After 35". This book is clever and practical, but what I like most is that "the program" is all about women taking action to get what they want. There is no reason why a feminist like myself shouldn't take Greenwald's good advise and use the same focus and drive to find a mate as I did to find my job and break the glass ceiling. I am recommending this book to all of my empowered girlfriends!
Rating: Summary: Check the library before you buy... Review: I will be honest; I have not read this book. But I am suspicious about these two rave reviews that appeared the first day the book was published, especially the one that seems to claim to know how your life will change after implementing this just-published program. Also, a 336-page book may not have much substance if you can read it in one day, as the other review claims. Check the book at your local library first. If you like it, by all means, buy it from Amazon.com.
Rating: Summary: I can do this! Review: I love this book! I read it in one day and I am so energized to begin! The Program puts the process in the hands of women, giving them the tools to tailor an approach that fits their personal style but is very effective. It doesn't ask them to change who they are as individuals, it just asks them to change the means through which they communicate that style. I thought Step #5 (branding) and Step #10 (telemarketing) were great approaches. I love it! I am buying it for 2 single friends over 40 -- although we all know you don't need a mate to be happy, sharing your life is a wonderful place to be.
