Rating: Summary: Riveting Review: Sandra Brown's books just keep getting better and better. You can depend on this author to provide readers with well written page turning plots. Envy kept me riveted page after page. A must for all avid readers. Beverly J Scott author of Righteous Revenge
Rating: Summary: Brown's best effort to date! Review: Sandra Brown continues to amaze me . . . almost every book is quite different than anything else she has written previously . . . and since her last novel (THE SWITCH) was a rare disappointment, I was pleased to see her back to form with ENVY . . . actually, she surpasses herself with this effort, in that this is her best work to date . . . it entwines two plots into a page-turning tale of a crime and the victim's plan for revenge . . . there's great dialogue, a compelling love story and a fantastic ending . . . you'll also find yourself caring about the characters and what happens to them.
Rating: Summary: One of Sandra Brown's best Review: After having just finished Sandra Brown's, "The Switch" and "Riley in the Morning," and being very disappointed with both, I began reading Envy with trepidations. Much to my delight, I absolutely loved this book. (I listened to it on tape.) I thought it was extremely well written, had an interesting plot, and included very real characters. The book within a book was a special bonus. Two great stories in one! I have read many, many of Sandra Brown's books. This was my favorite. I actually looked forward to my drive to work, knowing that I would be able to listen to Envy.
Rating: Summary: Fine Read Review: This book is a very good read. Brown is in excellent form as she writes a novel within a novel. I especially liked how she changed her writing style from one story to the other. Of course, after a while, you can probably figure out most of the plot if you try hard enough, but you'd have to be really clever to guess all of the twists and turns she has in store. The characters and the tale are interesting enough to keep you turning the pages, and her insider's view of the publishing world is quite intriguing as well. One of her best recent books!
Rating: Summary: Outstanding Review: One of the best books I have ever read! Envy was incredilbe. It felt like there were two people writing this book. I thought is was an amazing!!
Rating: Summary: Awesome book...couldn't put it down Review: Sandra Brown is my favorite author. Her books are never disappointing. I don't know how she does it. It seems that so many of the big name authors have gone downhill lately. This is one of the best books I have read from this author. My other favorite one is Fat Tuesday. This book is totally entertaining, fast paced, interesting. A total page turner and I highly recommend it !
Rating: Summary: Enthralling, but a little uncomfortable at times Review: I am a true Sandra Brown fan. This book was fast-paced and kept me guessing the whole way. Definitely a satisfying plot. The language and behavior of one of the main characters, Parker, was difficult to reconcile. He was somewhat out of character compared to Sandra's previous male characters making him difficult to like much less love or find attractive. A compelling story that kept me interested, none the less.
Rating: Summary: Suspense clear till last page!! Review: Envy is one of the most exciting and suspenseful books I've read in a long time. I guessed some of it....but not near all. It all comes together at the end although....all the way through, it's hard to connect every angle of the story. Start this one when you have some time.
Rating: Summary: Lots of Character, Murder, Suspense Review: I loved this book; however, unlike some of the reviewers I had just about figured out the plot and results of this book, in fact, I had formed all the correct assumptions by page 62 and I was right although I really enjoyed the book. Yes, the book within a book is quite interesting and sheds a great deal of light on Noah and Parker. Enjoyable
Rating: Summary: Next Box Office Hit! Review: I listen to a lot of books on tape while traveling back and forth to work. I thought this book was GREAT! Not only did the narrator have a terrific voice, but the story captured your interest in the first few pages. I didn't want to pull into my driveway when I reached my home. Personally, I think this would make a great movie.
