Summary: EXCELLENT STORY - ENTIRELY POSSIBLE.
Review: AS MANY OF THE REVIEWS HAVE SAID "THIS COULD HAPPEN". A FASCINATING STORY THAT ENDS WITH A BANG. I CAN'T WAIT TO READ THE SEQUEL. THE ONLY COMPAINT I WOULD HAVE IS THAT THE BOOK WAS A LITTLE LONG AND AT TIMES GOT TOO TECHNICAL. I FOUND MYSELF LOST WHEN CLANCY DISCUSSES THE MILITARY. BUT OVERALL, A MUST FOR ALL CLANCY FANS AND A VERY GOOD BOOK

Summary: Starts slowly, but snowballs into a suspenceful masterpiece.
Review: Again Tom Clancy hits the mark. With his festation for detail, and well drawn out descriptions, it easy for one to get bored. And many times I was, at times I was too confused by the multiple plots lines that seemed to have no connection what so ever. But Tom Clancy, the modern day literary genius, seems to have a magical way of making all the plot lines somehow connect into one damn good story. His precise detail when it came to explaining the intricacies of the new Japenese surveilence plane , as well as the inner workings of the Securites and Exchange Commission are better learnings then some college courses. If you can make it through the first one-hundred pages with out throwing it away, then you will be thoroughly gratified by a great a piece of literary genius

Summary: Excellent Book
Review: One of Clancy's best, exceeded only by Without Remorse. While the plot is a bit farfetched, Clancy is able to pull it off nicely. The financial aspect was a bit boring, but in today's world, I think a lot of the fighting will be done with the computer. One of the most interesting points of the story is his characters' use of "Manuver Warfare" concept ; not attacking an enemy where he is strong, but where he is weak. Dictating that your forces will not face them how he expects or wants them to. This is certainly how wars in the future will be fought and the pentagon would do well to take note to update their often outmoded tactics to keep up with their new weapons systems

Review: If Tom Clancy did any on site research for this book he did it from the window of the room he stayed in in Tokyo. The characterizations of the Japanese in the story were pure WW2 propaganda. He's got Clark and Ding walking around Tokyo acting like tourists and spouting off the usual American misconceptions about Japanese society. With the Soviet Union gone it's a case of Clancy looking for a new enemy, and it really makes me wonder how accurate his other books ar

Review: Debt of Honor is one of Clancy'd best! It has an absorbing plot about an attempt by Japan to destroy the U.S. with money and computers instead of bombs, and the novel traces America's retaliation against the man and nation responsible. Get ready for a crash-course in economics, and look out for some great action with incredle machines like the F-22 fighter, B-2 bomber and RAH-66 Comanche attack chopper! Powerful conclusion in this novel!!

Summary: Excellent as usual
Review: Excellent is the only way I can think to describe this book. I had to force myself to put the book down and couldn't wait to pick it up again. Clancy has a way of making you feel as though you are right there with his characters, involved in the plot of their lives. I knew before ever coming to the last page that I would have to know what would follow for Jack Ryan. If there wasn't a sequel, I would have been writing to him to write one! <grin> A book well worth reading over and over again

Summary: I'm really disappointed Tom
Review: Clancy's plot never really worked out. While the ending was something different, the ability to solve the crisis with Japan was completely unoriginal. Another problem; the book is WAY TOO LONG!!!!. for 990 pages, I expected more. The book could've been written in a lot fewer pages and a lot more trees would still be alive. This book brings to mind another Japanese conflict: the Russo-Japanese war. Russia looked all too powerful when taking on the Japaese. However, just like Clancy's book, the got beaten badly and only saved face due to a few twists in negotiations from the President of the United States

Summary: This is worth reading!!
Review: From the first page I read I knew this was something cool. I was right. Debt of Honor is probably the best Clancy-book I've ever read. Even if it's heavier than Sum of all fears, I liked it. The build-up of the economic and later on military conflict is very well done. And in the middle of a conflict with Japan, FBI investigates Vice-President Ed Kealty, Jack Ryan tries to help the president and war almost break out between the US and India. This is a book you just can't put down, I read it twice last year

Summary: Good time wasting stuff
Review: This book is one of the rare books available that can encourage the reader to waste his or her time. I found that it was impossible to put this book down after I had started, not a good move if you have an early start. The story moves to different places around the worls faster than Concorde on a good day. The intrigues and conspiracies are well thought out and highly plausible. The technical contenct is convincing, and I would be interested to know how long it takes to research a book to this level. My congratulations to Tom Clancy on an excellent book. One that I would, and have, heartily recommend to family and friends. I can't wait to get the paperback of the follow up, as the reader is left wanting to know more.......

Summary: Slow paced and boring, one of Clancy's worst
Review: Clancy, although one of my favorite authors, did not hit a home run with this one. With one of the most hard to believe plots I have ever encountered in a Clancy book to date, even though Jack Ryan has been brought back, he seems to be a cliche of his heroic everyman of Clancy's earlier works, (i.e. Hunt For Red October, Cardinal of The Kremlin, and Patriot Games) even though I did not like this book, Clancy remains one of my favorite authors and hopefully his next book measures up to his well deserved reputatio
