Summary: The book is awful
Review: This review will be as short as the book was long. It stinks. The premise is stupid, the dialogue wooden. This man needs an editor. It is hard to believe that the book was accepted for publicatio

Summary: End of the Jack Ryan saga?
Review: Following the life of Jack Ryan has been interesting, and his succesfull pursuits of evil have always been justly rewarded - by promotions within the system. He has now reached the ultimate rank in the World of Clancy: President of the United States. The last page of "Exective Orders" have been turned, the enemy has been beaten, and we are left to wonder America will be rebuilt after the disasters inflicted upon her during the last two novels from Tom Clancy's hand. But that is another story for another type of book, perhaps with another hero. We can now only hope that Jack Ryan is sincere in his wish to retire and become an ordinary citizen again. I also hope that Tom Clancy will employ his considerable writing skills in introducing a worthy succesor to Ryan, one whom we can trust not to reach the Presidency too fast and thus keep us entertained for some years to come

Summary: Gripping, enticing, top-notch thriller.
Review: Clancy does it again. His most compelling novel to date. Jack Ryan faces his most crucial task, the Presidency of the United States. Clancy grips the reader with his incredible details. I couldn't put the book down. A must read if your are a Tom Clancy fan, but even for those who aren't yet, come see what you are missing

Summary: Virulence in politics reaches new heights
Review: Tom Clancy's astonishing attention to detail turns to Jack Ryan's ascendancy to the Presidency in the worst of times. Perhaps Clancy suffers from a degree of wishful thinking (or is it unbridled optimism) that politics could be reformed by a clean sweep. Clancy gives new meaning to virulence in his description and (let's hope) imagination of the enemies of the US. I enjoyed especially the humanity of the portrayal of Jack and Cathy Ryan in this story. Cathy becomes a much more complete person, with her professional and leadership skills highly in evidence. I finished reading the book as news of fresh air strikes on Iraq arrived. Timeliness seems an inadequate adjective.

Summary: "Executive Orders" is a MUST read for Clancy's fans
Review: I believe that "Executive Orders" is definitely the best novel in the Jack Ryan's series. It contains all the elements from the previous books and you just can't put it down once you begin reading it. The plot is great and if you are really a Clancy's fan, you can't miss it.

Summary: U.S. government at its best--by Clancy - NO disappointment
Review: Picks up where Debt of Honor left off. Ryan has to rebuild the government. And deal with another Gulf war, Chineese hostilities and a naughty India. Throw in terrorists after him and his kids and the Ebola virus. Stir it all up Clancy-style and you can't put it down. And Clancy gets in a few shots at how our government ought to work and the kind of people we need in government. Don't wait for the paperback!

Summary: One of his best yet!
Review: This was the first time one of his books picks up right after another one. He got it right on the first shot

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Tom Clancy went the distance with this one
Review: The story line begins a tad slow, and the reader needs to remember how his last book ended but once Clancy gets going this is proof that there is no stopping him. This book is an excellent read to the finish, and I would reccomend it to everyon

Summary: Clancy Thrills Again
Review: Tom Clancy continues the saga of Jack Ryan's accidental climb through the US Government. A bit wordy and too many subplots, Executive Orders will still keep those familiar with Clancy's series up past midnight. White hats, black hats, spies, and jingoism: it sells! Why mess with success?! (A word of caution: Clancy spoke at my alma mater and is an incredibly egotistical ass. So in the interst of your own well being, keep your contact with Mr. Clancy limited to his books only.

Summary: Clancy hero Jack Ryan takes the helm of a broken county
Review: Minutes after being sworn in as President in Debt of Honor Jack Ryan relys on his friends and allies around to world to help him restore the American government. All is not well at home and abroad as both domestic and foreign powers plot to destroy America and its new reluctant leader. Once again Clancy brings his familiar cast of characters back to playout another "what if" senario for all of us to work through. Clancy allows the reader to be in Ryan's shoes and makes you think "what would I do?" An A+ from cover to cover.
