Summary: GOOD, VERY GOOD.
Review: No doubt this man knows a thing or two about writting. Very good attention to detail. Very believable. One thing I'd like to know; is it just me or does it seem like Ryan was written to better fit Harrison Ford? Also, it is becoming annoying that a group of people within a country can carry out acts of war against the USA and guess what? The govt of that country is innocent. The Colombians, The Japanese, The Iranians/Iraqis. The USA as the nice, mind my own business, never look for trouble superpower while being attacked by unsavorable characters is beginning to wear a liitle thin. Give the readers an avenue of release. If you mess with the USA, You will pay the price. NO MORE MR NICE GUY !

Summary: One of Clancy's Best Books!
Review: Throughout the books Clancy has written there seems to be a recurrent problem, which is that the solution to the complex problem created is extremely short. It seems that he needed a way to end the book in fewer number of pages. But this is not the case in Executive Orders. Following the incredible ending of Debt of Honor, Tom Clancy presents to the readers an interesting scenario: the rebuilding of the U.S. government under the guidance of John Patrick Ryan

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Love the plot(s), but politically hard to swallow at times.
Review: As before, Clancy has woven a thrilling and intricate story which seems chillingly plausible. I was a bit put off, however, by his occasional political discourse. Certainly I don't agree fully with his opinions on how this country should be run; but in previous books the political aspects were woven more integrally with the action and less as direct statements. Even so, these were only minor distractions from an excellent book, again

Summary: Exellent "must read" book
Review: One of Tom Clancy's best. Jack Ryan returns as the main character in this political thriller. Jack Ryan becomes Preisdent of the US as cabinet members and the executive branch of government are killed by a crashing Japanese jet airliner. Jack Ryan is not your typical president. He does things the way things should be done. While politicians are out to get him, the people rally to the hero. It is a must read for tom Clancy fans

Summary: A must-read from the master
Review: So, you wanna be President. You could fix all the problems with the county, couldn't you. Yep, if you just had the chance. Well, here it is Mr. Smarty Pants. Well, it is if you are John Patrick Ryan. "Debt of Honor" left us (Clancy fans) in a large lurch. The President, the Supreme Court, most members of the House, Senate and Cabinet are dead. Jack Ryan, new President of the United States (or, POTUS), formerly new Vice President, has it all to do. Appoint a Supreme Court, not just one or two justices, but all of them. Arrange for the election of representatives and Senators. Maintain national defense while facing increasingly hostile international dilemmas, not to mention deadly domestic ones. All this while trying to stave off a despicable attempt to "grab the throne" by the freshly ousted former Vice President of the United States. Clancy provdes a realistic view of being POTUS. And, shows us that strength of character does, indeed, make a difference. While facing the most challenging and dangerous circumstances since the Revolutionary War, just how does the USA fare? How does she weather a storm of weapons of mass destruction? If you like Clancy's earlier works, then I will guarantee that you will enjoy and approve of the "response of the Uinted States of America"

Summary: BY FAR A TOM CLANCY MASTERPIECE-LONG LIVE TOM CLANCY!!
Review: President Jack Ryan? Definitly worthy of more praise than I alone can give. It's all there keeps you wanting more-hurry let's get busy with the next one

Summary: The Usual From Clancy
Review: While there is always room for improvement, I must say that this book is great. I read this book in 3 days last fall, and can't wait for the sequel. Tom - are you listening?

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: 900 pages = 10, 100 pages = 1 equals 5
Review: Dear Mr. Clancy, I read all your books. This was by far the heaviest one, literally speaking. You are the best when it comes to these wonderfull detailed "What if..." techno thrillers. The first 900 pages of "Jack Ryan as President" are brilliant: suspense, thrill, action, fun. Great characters, new and old. But what happened on the last 100 pages? All story-lines are gone missing in action except a lengthy battlefield description. Were you afraid of 100 more pages? These last 100 pages were an enormous let-down. But 900 pages of treat, anyway. Yours sincerly, Alexander Loran

Summary: Great work from Clancy, one of his best books
Review: Tom Clancy has a way of turning any kind of situation, as far-fetched as it might appear into a plausible scenario, and he gets away with it. This is one of Clancy's best, his narrative, and his knowledge of human interactions in political power situations is amazing, the only drawback is that you have to familirize with his earlier work. But to me, that is no problem, I love his style and I will follow Ryan to the moon, perhaps when he defends the world from alien invaders

Summary: Tom Clancy has woven yet another fine work of fiction
Review: Tom Clancy has done a marvellous job of interconnecting various action scenarios and pulsing each one of them at the right times to keep the reader informed and at times suspended to keep guessing what the next move from the other side will be. His research of defense information and tactics are definitely award worthy. In particular I was amazed at how precise he was in saying that the Bob Hope class vessels built at Avondale were diesel powered. This was great because the ships hadn't been delivered at the time the book was written. Not only that but also the fact that the Bob Hope(s) built at Avondale are diesel powered and those built at the other shipyard are gas turbine powered. Bravo Tom Clancy!
