Summary: Average
Review: James Patterson has a great way of telling a story. However, on this book, it seemed like he forced the story. Several times throughout the book (especially the first half) he repeats himself when referring to details. What I loved most about "Four Blind Mice" is that it focuses on Sampson. Sampson has taken a back seat the last few novels. It was about time to get an indepth look at this valuable character. As far as intensity, this book is a page turner like all Patterson novels. VERY INTENSE! Sad to read Patterson say that this may be the last Cross novel. If it is, he has a nice wrap up at the end. Good storytelling. Good plot. Just not great. You will enjoy though.

Summary: Suspenseful
Review: Once again detective Alex Cros and partner John are on the trail of cold blooded murderers but this time they are up against the military and the wounds of war of Vietnam. The story is an adventure and has many twist. The backdrop of romance and love is also appealing and helpful in this suspsense thriller! Enjoy another Alex Cross adventure ---a must read for fans and mystery readers.

Summary: Another Alex Cross Bonanza
Review: It is a time of change and Alex has another haunting serial murder case to solve, before he and his family become the next target. Alex has a new love and surprisingly so does Sampson :) The story is fast paced, a lil violent and very potent. I would definately recommend it to any thriller readers. I can't wait for the next installment.

Summary: Definitely not upto Patterson's best
Review: I was very excited to get this novel, as I have loved much of his earlier work. It was okay I felt, just not the typical twists, and turns that I expect from a Patterson novel. It almost seemed as though he may have had contractual obligations to fulfill, rather than the superior substance that I have come to love.

Summary: Perfect Even If You Haven't Followed the Alex Cross Series
Review: In North Carolina, the Three Blind Mice band together as they have since Vietnam. Now that they've left the Army, they can focus on doing what they do best. What they enjoy. Killing.

In Washington, Detective Alex Cross decides this is it. He's resigning from the D.C. police.

But John Sampson has other plans for his partner. His close friend, Sergeant Ellis Cooper, is in serious trouble, accused of brutally murdering three Army wives and painting their bodies blue.

Cooper is facing the death penalty for what looks like a frame job. As Cross and Sampson begin to investigate, they uncover more questions than answers.

Other officials have been accused of similar crimes and held to the U.S. Army's justice system. The military seems to be running a blind investigation, missing key evidence or perhaps even ignoring it.

Cross and Sampson find themselves digging deeper into the military's secrets and they quickly become targets. Even when they narrow down their list of suspects to three Army rangers, Cross still can't quite pinpoint the reason for such a covert operation.

In the middle of it all, Cross is exploring a long-distance relationship with Inspector Jamilla Hughes in California. He's not alone.

Sampson becomes interested in an Army widow after he interviews her about her late husband's death. Laurence Houston was put to death after allegedly killing another soldier and painting his face blue and white.

Too many coincidences lead Cross and Sampson to the heart of the the Three Blind Mice and they become the hunted. Staring face to face with the killers.

But even the Three Blind Mice can't reveal the biggest mystery of all: who hired them. Just who is the fourth member of this assassination team, the mastermind making it Four Blind Mice?

Loyal James Patterson fans will be thrilled over the return of Alex Cross. Patterson's newest page-turner leaves you hanging in the most delicious way. (Yes, that's a good thing!)

In classic Patterson style, the chapters are short, the pace is quick and the plot fantastic.

Summary: I was hooked!
Review: James Patterson has done it again! "Four Blind Mice" is a fabulous addition to the Alex Cross series. It has the usual Patterson touch that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat with a plot full of twists and turns, suspense and intrigue. Fom page one I was hooked and found it so hard to put down that I ended up reading it in one sitting. I simply loved this book and think it should be added to everyone's MUST READ list now!

Summary: The way that Alex Cross should be....back to his roots
Review: I was VERY disappointed in VIOLETS ARE BLUE and I swore I'd never read another James Pattersn again, well I lied to myself really, THE BEACH HOUSE was okay and then I decided that every author deserves a second chance (though I think some people give him too many).

FOUR BLIND MICE puts Alex Cross back to his normal self. He's logical again, smart again, and the kind that actually needs help again, and Sampson has a big role in this book unlike the past two Cross novels.

The book is very discriptive and grabs your attention from the get go. The book is action packed and I can't help but admit that the book is heart pounding and keep this in mind "expect the unexpected" because this book is full of plot twist.

For those who've been keeping up with the Cross series, good, because you know how important Sampson is, well this book effects Sampson more than Cross this time around. Whild this doesn't seem like the best idea, it shows that Patterson actually has something in store for all his characters.

This is possibly by far one of the better Cross books. To be truthful I didn't have that much faith in this book, but it was surprisingly good.

Summary: As Patterson goes, it's only an "average"
Review: Yes. I am a Patterson fan. This book is a worthy effort and I did enjoy it but it just wasn't as good as some of the earlier books in the Alex Cross series. Still, it's a "must read" for Patterson fans, particularly if you're an Alex Cross fan.

Summary: Not his best
Review: It would seem Mr. Patterson is tired of our old friend Alex Cross - that or he is merely fulfilling his contractual obligation with his publisher. The chapters are only a page or two long each and widely spaced out making for a quick read. Boring plot - but even at Patterson's worst he is still better than many. The killers are not fleshed out nor is their reason for killing; Cross's long-time (but finished) love affair with the Sojourner Truth principal is barely mentioned; Nana holds an unusually large piece of the action - really not all that suspenseful. I would buy it used or in paperback if you can stand to wait.

Summary: Can't Ask For More
Review: Ah, James Patterson and his main character Alex Cross! Intelligent, Fun; lose yourself in the suspense books. I started waiting for the paperbacks to come out because I feel bad about reading Patterson's books in an evening. This one is a strong contender for Patterson's best, interesting characters you care about, fast action, edge of your seat page turner. All cliches, I know, but all true in this case.
