Summary: I recommend you to buy book with CD
Review: This book is suit for the advance learner, it's mean you already revised the grammars or structures. This book will guide you to the patterns of the exam, like which structures are often seen in the toefl exam. The best part is the modal test in CD, that like the actual test and you can practice like a real (not really CBT). But about essay you have to select another book coz' little examples. Actually before you will buy this book I would like to recommend you to buy the practice book of Barron, which will have more questions to practice. Anyway if you have only one selection this is your way!

Summary: This book has the wrong CDs!
Review: THIS EDITION DOES NOT CONTAIN THE CORRECT CD. THE PUBLISHER HAS SAID THAT THEY MADE A B-I-I-I-I-G MISTAKE AND WILL BE RELEASING A NEW VERSION WITH THE CORRECT CD IN SEPTEMBER, 2001.=================================== ORIGINAL REVIEW OF THE 9TH EDITION =================================== First, this book does NOT come with audiocassettes! Instead, the audio portion of the book comes on 4 CDs. So, if you do not have a CD player, you will NOT be able to listen to the Listening Practice. This book does NOT have a computer test. Instead, it has some questions in the book that simulate the computer questions. Half of the tests are written for people who have to take the paper test, the other half are for people who have to take the computer test. If you can only buy one book, you need a review of grammar and other sections of the test, and you want some practice tests, this book is your best choice. It has a lot of grammar explanations and lots of practice questions. So, it is a great value--the price is low, and you get a lot of questions. However, the book is not perfect. Some of the questions are old, and you will not see those types on the TOEFL anymore. Furthermore, many of the questions are easier than the real TOEFL, especially the reading sections. Many of my students have said that the reading section is very, very hard and that they were not prepared for the real TOEFL when they took it. In short, if you can only buy one book, this one is okay, but you really should buy official TOEFL materials so that you will be ready for the real test when you take it.

Review: Use some common sense. If you click on the picture of the book, you will be able to read among other things: "with CD-ROM containing model computer-based tests and listening comprehension" Good luck, guys!

Summary: Wrong CD-ROM
Review: When you buy this book (10th edition), do not buy the one with the CD-ROM. It is not the right one (it is the 9th). All the books with CD-ROM have the wrong one. The correct one comes out in October. So if you want to buy this book do NOT take the one with the CR-ROM, because you're going to waste money!!
