My wife and I have been to the gym(Start date 11/01/99) 23 out of 27 possible days, and we are more motivated than ever! This book can change your life! As for the negative comments from other readers: 1) You did not read the book with a mind that was open to change. 2) This is not a book about EAS supplements; it is a book about how you can change your life.(Two pages out of 201 mention EAS products.) Rating: Summary: Body For Life Review: Anyone who really wants to change their life, and I mean change your body, change your attitude and find confidence needs to read this book and follow the program. This book will force you to really evaluate what kind of life you want to lead. If you want to be challenged every day and have the confidence to take on all of life's challenges than read this book! If you don't want to be part of the 60% of Americans that are clinically obese, than read this book! Too many people will tell you that you will not get the types of results that are described in Body For LIfe, but I can tell you from my own experiences that you will, but only if you challenge yourself every day to do a little bit more.
Rating: Summary: Do you want to be the STEAMROLLER or the PAVEMENT? Review: Don't be mistaken. If you are lazy, don't buy this book. If your busy and don't want to make the time to change, don't buy this book.However, if you want to change your life; body, soul and mind, then buy this book! It requires Committment, determination, tenacity, will power and time, but if you follow this books advice, You Will Get Fit! A lot of naysayers will tell you that you need to fill your body with "chemicals" and supplements just to make these changes. The real truth is, these people don't have the facts. They would rather spend their energy on complaining instead of their bodies. In fact, the book even states that you don't need these supplements to be in the best shape of your life. Do yourself a favor, change your life like I did Dave Conrey 2 months - lost 30 lbs of fat and gained 8 lbs of muscle and I'm just getting started.
Rating: Summary: Informaive book on how to look & feel better! Review: All I wanna say is that this book really lives up to it's name! Body For Life! Why do I say that? You see, many people have a mis-conception about weight-training & body-building. All they ever think about is lifting heavy weights all the time...they believe that they will be able to improve this way. They are wrong! There is much to that. This book teaches you a good method of training which enables you to see results in the shortest time possible. Not only that, a nutrition guide is also available telling you which food provides you with what type of nutrients & vitamins. It also has a 20 mins aerobic workout enabling you to lose fat fast. Morever, the book also provides you with pictures of correct training positions. I have seen people injure themselves because of incorrect training positions & I believe you will not want that to happen to yourself. Besides, incorrect training position will only provide you with superficial results as you will not be targeting the main muscle group. Do note that this book is not a body builder's handbook although it provides really useful information! Worth your bucks...it was worth mine!
Rating: Summary: You've got to want it-- NO EXCUSES! Review: I am well past my initial 12 weeks of the "Body for Life" program and I can honestly say that I am thrilled with the way my body looks and the way I feel. I have a sister, a brother-in-law, and a customer doing the same program with phenomenal results! I do not take supplements on a regular basis. I have the Myoplex light shakes, the Phen-Free and the Betagen. I use the shakes only when I need something quick and easy. I may go weeks at a time without having one. As for the Phen -Free and the Betagen, I have a hard enough time taking my vitamins in the morning, much less supplements. I have used very little of these. My point is that you don't have to invest in the supplements to get excellent results. You do, however, have to be honest with yourself. Nothing worth having ever comes easy. You MUST learn good eating habits and you have to push yourself during your workouts. What this book did for me was outline how to eat and how to workout for maximum results. I am 5'11". When I started the program, I weighed 148. I now weigh 135. It's not that I was looking to lose weight but I was looking to "tighten up" a few areas. Not only have I succeeded at that, I have curves I've never seen before. My pear shape has been transformed into an hourglass and it's only getting better. Can't complain about that!
Rating: Summary: Common sense approach to weight loss and strength training Review: Bill's approach is great. My wife and I just recently finished our first 12 weeks on the program. We are by no means any contest winners. But the approach has worked great for us. Without using supplements, I have lost about 35 pounds and have gained a great deal of strength. My wife, who did not have as much weight to lose, has lost around 15 pounds and firmed up a great deal. The diet is easy to follwo and common sense. I always tell people the diet is what you would eat if you just sat down and said I need to cut down. We are now onto our next 12 weeks and moving toward our ideal weight.
Rating: Summary: This is a very well written book Review: I have lifted weights for about 3 years. I used to spend 1 1/2 hrs at the gym 3 days a week, and that did not include cardio. Now I spend 1 hour in the gym 3 days a week and 20 minutes, 3 days a week doing cardio. The only reason it takes me an hour to lift is I warm up and stretch before I lift. If I did not, I would be done in 46 minutes. I would recommend this book to ANYONE who has the desire to change their situation. In my opinion anyone who believes in themselves can do this. I realized that eating mostly carbohydrates, kept me hungry all the time. When you eat the proper percentage of carbs and protein, I don't seem to be as hungry nor do I crave sweets as much as I used to.Good Luck to all who try this!
Rating: Summary: In 12 weeks I'm in the best shape of my life. Review: In 12 weeks of following the book to the letter I lost 18lbs of fat and gained 11lbs of muscle. I used all EAS supplements and had no problems at all, in fact I have had stomach problems for years and they have cleared up on this program. My health and well being have improved so much in terms of lower stress and more energy that I'm able to do more and enjoy life more. It worked for me beyond my wildest dreams.

I am 25, and I was a gymnast through high school and college. I never had enough info on what to eat and how to train my body the correct way. Bill makes it easy for anyone to understand and do.
