Summary: Doesn't Disappoint
Review: In the continuing saga of Claire and Jamie, Dragonfly In Amber doesn't disappoint. There is much to recommend in this, the second novel in the series. An insider's view of the court of Charles Stuart, Claire's knowledge of healing practices, and Jamie's heroic efforts to right any wrong that he confronts. Ms. Gabaldon's magic with story development, dialog, and character development shine through once again.

Summary: Riveting!!
Review: I have read all the titles of this particular series and I was brought to tears more than once. So impressed, that I feel the need to choke back another onslought at the thought that there are no more. Gabaldan's attention to the details of everyday life in the 18th century made me want to experience it for myself. Please, if there is to be another of this kind let me know now:) so that I can await its arrival with baited breath.

Summary: Captivating, unequalled, it permeates my life
Review: Probably the best book of the series, so far. I have re-read the four books, twice. Jamie and Claire have become a part of my every day life. It's a relief to read that others feel as strongly, and appreciate Diana's creative talents as much as I do. A film adaptation MUST be the final outcome. I want to see for real what I have been visualizing all these years. The Outlandish series is recommended at every opportunity. And although it will be painful to say farewell to Jamie and Claire, I look forward to Ms Gabaldon's future tales.

Summary: Excellent Historical background
Review: I thoroughly enjoy learning things about historical Scotland, and this is definately the series to do it with. If I may say one thing however Diana, and that is everytime I come across a swear word in your book (which isn't very often, but the ones you pick are "the worst"), I am completely thrown for a loop. I am not a purist by any means, however, I wish you would use language that wasn't so harsh and detracts my attention from the story. Thanks for a good read!!! Monica Fast

Summary: Excellent!
Review: I loved this series of books and I think that it's the best I've ever read. Diana Gabaldon is an excellent author and I'll eagerly read anything she writes. I fell in love with her main characters at once and put myself in their situations. I hope their story can go on and on!

Summary: Best series I have ever read
Review: Truly a wonderful experience to read the whole series.I have read each of the books 5 times....& still discover something I missed earlier. I cannot wait until the 6th book is out, and am sorry it shall be the last! The medical situations are wonderful to read. The romance and realistic love Jamie & Claire share is unforgetable. Everyone should read these books....they will renew your marriage! I LOVED them.

Summary: Great book! Looking forward to number 5.
Review: Following Clare and Jamie in their escapades is almost like being there. Gabaldon does a wonderful job in placing you right in the middle of the action.

Summary: A breathtaking experience for this novice romance reader...
Review: This series has been so heartbreakingly real for me that I have gone so far as to research through Scot history on the prowl for the true James Alexander Malcom MacKenzie Fraser. Though I haven't proven his existence in historical time, he thrives in my heart and curses through my blood as rich and pure as heated Highland whiskey. I look for him in the eyes of every tender, strong, and stubborn lad that I meet.

Summary: This series is by far the best I have ever read.
Review: I have read this series twice, and I plan to read it many more times. Diana Gabaldon is an excellent author. I hope she continues this series.

Summary: I never cried so much in my entire life!!!
Review: The only reason I started to read the series is because everybody else in my family already had.I cried through the whole thing and never in my life have I ever read a better series. Good luck Diana, I hope there are more!
