Summary: Most outstanding series I've read to date!
Review: I began with Outlander, (the unabridged audio version) because I really couldn't find anything else that day that interested me. I usually don't care for time travel books, but once I began this series, I could not stop listening. I immediately went out and rented Dragonfly in Amber. I am now ready to listen to Voyager, the third in the series, but Bantam Books has not produced an unabridged version yet and I don't want to spoil the story by listening to the abridged version. I sincerely recommend this series to anyone who wants to escape the real world for a little while and become part of a wonderful love story!! I love the reader, Geraldine James. She does all of the accents so wonderfully that she makes all of the characters come to life. Diana Gabaldon has just become my favorite author of romance!

Summary: First Book to Make Me Cry!!!
Review: I read Outlander and loved it!!! So I immediately ran out and bought Drums of Autumn. I honestly NEVER cry when I read. I have read a ton of love stories and usually I don't ever shed a tear, but this one had me crying like a baby. When Jamie made Clair go back through the stones to save herself and their unborn child it nearly tore my heart out. I feel like I really know these two people. I have read three of the four books and can't wait to start Drums of Autumn.( I better get some housework done first!) This is the best series I have ever read!!! Thanks Diana.

Review: When I read this book I pulled my first all-nighter since college! I just could not part with Claire and Jamie. I eagerly await the next book in the series.

Summary: I read it for the sex scenes with Jamie. They were intense.
Review: Isn't it every married person's fantasy to have two spouses and not feel guilty about it? Great concept. The Scottish highland atmosphere makes me want to visit. I am a fourth Scott or so and never thought much of it until I read this book. All I want to know is where I might find the magic stones so that I may have Claire's adventures too. Especially if there will be a stud like Jamie waiting for me. Don't tell my husband.

Review: Last year I read Diana Gabaldon's series for the first time and just recently read Outlander and Dragonfly again. They are even better the second time around. I'm so consumed with these books, I don't have a life while reading them. And now I'm on the internet writing about them. I recommend these books to anyone who needs to escape for an hour or so a day, then once read, hide the books and get a life.

Review: I got Outlander on loan from a friend, and found myself needing the next before she got a chance to bring it to work. I went out and purchased the set of four and have reread them and loaned them out in between. Jamie has become a part of this twenty first century nurse's life,too. I have always loved this style of book but there are few words to really express the all encompassing thrill of running through the heather and smelling the fresh clean,preindustry air with these delightful and vibrant characters. They beckon you to delve through the stones.....

Summary: The best book(s) I have ever read in my life.
Review: I have only read the book Outlander because I cannot find the others. I am only a 17 year old teenager. This book brought a lot of tears down my face. I have read Outlander 4 times over the summer of '98. I only wish if I had the other books. Does anyone know where I can get the other books???? Diana Gabaldon is an awsome author. If I had the power to rule the world I would make every woman read Diana's books.

Summary: The Hell with Scarlett O'Hara!
Review: My former heroine has been replaced in the person of Claire Fraser! I can only repeat all of the comments made by other avid fans of Diana Gabaldon's wonderful series ... I only recently learned of the existence of the four books from my mother, and to my surprise, they have become the newest "read and read agains" in my collection. After finishing "Drums of Autumn" on vacation, I promptly picked up "Outlander" (much to the dismay of my husband) to pick up all the information again, and to reacquaint myself with young Jamie & Claire. THANK YOU, Diana Gabaldon...ALL of these books are wonderful. I did pick "Dragonfly" to review because of the parting of Jamie and Claire...I was riveted, and had to lay the book down to boo-hoo in the presence of my 10 year old daughter, who was very concerned with my mental state of health! Any book - or continuing series -that can make you feel the story as much as these is destined for infamy! Thank you, thank you, thank you, and get that fifth novel out quick!

Summary: Amazing sequel
Review: After finishing Outlander, I jumped in my car and headed out to the nearest B & N to buy Dragonfly in Amber. After a somewhat slow beginning (what? Claire's in her fourties now, and not with Jamie? Why oh why?) I was immediately transported to Scotland and the incredible saga of Jamie and Claire. What a heartbreaking book - I can't believe that after all they went through together they had to part at the end. I have never been so near to tears reading as I was at the end of this book. Laugh-out-loud hilarious at some points and gut-wrenchingly tragic in others, this is a great book and a great series overall.
