Rating: Summary: Heart-breakingly beautiful Review: After reading the first book in the series, I was totally hooked on the story of Jamie and Claire. I almost anticipated to be disappointed with the second book,(as it the case with most follow-ups),but not at all!! The great story continues, and the wonderful wit and historical information all woven into this beautiful love-story. I confess that I nearly cried my eyes out at the end, and that I could not wait to read the next book and the next..... Diana, you are a star and no matter what some of the critics say about the violence, etc. I enjoyed the book very much and please keep up this wonderful work!!!
Rating: Summary: Loved it! Review: Of all the books I've read this year only a very few touched my heart like Dragonfly in Amber. The Triumph and the Glory and I KNow This Much Is True come to mind. Also read DRUMS OF AUTUMN and OUTLANDER and VOYAGER by the same author. Gabaldon is a master in the genre and should really receive much more acclaim and attention than she does.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic Non-Stop Reading! Couldn't put the books down! Review: I was totally hooked book by book, read each one over a weekend not being able to put it down and wanting to find out what happens next. The best series I've ever read. Highly recommended for anyone's reading tastes. Very humorous characters, and a modern outlook mixed with some old fashioned views but that's why we love Jamie and Claire! More please!
Rating: Summary: A guy not taken to reading romance novels: I am hooked! Review: How do you describe those singular works that capture your heart in a way that you remember for a life time. I am embarrassed to admit this, but I have read and re-read these books so many times that I have to use rubber bands to keep them in one peice.

Rating: Summary: Fantastic!!! It will take your breath away!!!! Review: I couldn't put the book down. After I read Outlander I went searching for the next installment in the lives of Claire and Jamie. The author weaves such a wonderful story that you actually feel like you are there. It made me wish I could find a Jamie somewhere. A must read for anyone intersted in time travel or ancient Scotland. Enjoy!!!
Rating: Summary: Beautiful job Review: This book was so eloquently written it was like liquid poetry. There were some scenes that actually brought tears to my eyes. I will never forget the name Diana Gabaldon.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful story line and history of Scotland Review: All four books from the series are wonderful. I am an avid reader. The four books in this series are the best I have read. You will love the characters and the history behind it all. I highly suggest taking the time to read all four books. I have several friends and relatives that have read the books and they agree that these are great books.
Rating: Summary: Not as good as "Outlander", but still a keepie. Review: I started by the end, as I borrowed "Drums of Autumn" from the library first, but I had to buy "Outlander" to learn how it all had began. I've just finished "Dragonfly in Amber" and I'm holding back from buying "Voyager" too soon; I'm reserving that one to read it on the airplane next month (it's a twenty-hour flight.) I found a couple of inconsistencies in this novel, such as when Claire and Brianna go to Scotland in 1968 and search for Gillie, but in "Outlander" the message from Gillie to Claire was "One, nine, six, seven". And why does Claire go back 202 years, but Gillie goes back about 240? How do you calculate? That kind of stuff is very annoying. Anyways, I found it boring when they are in France, and all the coming and going with Mary Hawkins and "Black Jack" Randall, who has more lives than a cat. I like the humour and the dialogue, and I like Claire's sarcastic streak. Is there a discussion group for these books anywhere? Anyone knows how to start one? I'm all for it.
