Summary: Unwrapping Rapp
Review: Sub-par story as author Vince Flynn, obviously trying to keep up with fast changing events in the Middle East, spends far too much time explaining the ongoing political struggle between Israel and Palestine and too little time with the hero, Mitch Rapp. Also, having Rapp domesticated and reassigned to a bureaucratic environment subtracts greatly from his far more interesting freelance, loner-assassin role in earlier books.

Summary: very disappointing
Review: I loved the first 3 books I read by Flynn, I only finished this one because I had nothing else around. I am done with Flynn, I'll never forgive him.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Entertaining but not up to par for Flynn
Review: I loved all of Flynn's other books but "Executive Power" was my least favorite. Not much new here except for the melodramatic relationship between Rapp and his new wife Anna. My opinion is that part of the story could have been dropped. It made me cringe and skip pages something I didn't do in his other books.

I would recommend Dan Brown's "DaVinci Code" and his "Angels and Demons" as more intriguing and exciting read.

Summary: More of the same.
Review: It looks like Flynn has found a formula for his books and he's going to keep using it over and over. It's another book where Mitch Rapp seems to have all the right answers. It wouldn't be a Flynn novel if there wasn't a really annoying presidential aide. It it would be a Flynn novel if Rapp didn't verbally abuse them a few times.
It seemed like two books. I liked the second one better, I guess.
Big disappointment. Term Limits was a true original novel. What can't he do that again?

Summary: Great thriller
Review: Once again Vince Flynn comes through with an exceptional thriller which is both timely and provocotive. The story comes straight from todays headlines. From the jungles of the Philippines to the Israeli/Palestinian fiasco, Flynn's protragonist, Mitch Rapp, tracks down the evil elements and actually gives them what they deserve. A great thrill ride.

Highly recommended.

Summary: Big Flynn Fan, Big Disappointment
Review: I have been looking forward to this book for quite a while, however it was very disappointing. It seemed to me to be two short stories, each with mediocre plots, wrapped up into one book.

It almost as if this book was conceived before 9/11 and awkwardly edited to deal with 9/11 afterwards.

I would very, very strongly recommend any other Flynn novel.

Summary: Nobody does it better
Review: While that title applies to an agent from Britan's MI6, it also applies to Mitch Rapp and his alter-ego, Vince Flynn. Rarely have I ever come across an author (Michael DiMercurio does come to mind) that is able to draw his characters with such skill.
You actually feel like you are in that rainy jungle, on that wet beach, or in that tense meeting inside the Oval Office. Another masterwork from someone at top form. Now, let's have the next one soon, Vince. Does anyone know if he has a website?

Summary: Good airplane read - fast, held my interest
Review: I've been anticipating Vince Flynn's latest book for months and couldn't wait to read it. While I enjoyed the book, I was frustrated with the two separate stories that didn't seem to have any relevance to each other beyond the character's involvement. It was almost like two short stories tied together with Mitch Rapp. In addition, both stories should have been prefaced with "Ripped from the headlines!", as they borrowed heavily from recent world events.

As much as I love Vince Flynn's writing and the counter-terrorism storylines, I didn't feel this was his best book. I would recommend any of his first three books over this one in a heart beat.

Summary: EXECUTIVE POWER and Vince Flynn rock!
Review: I'm a fan of Tom Clancy and David Baldacci, and this was my first time reading a Vince Flynn novel. WOW! All I can say is that it was a thrill ride from start to finish, and I felt like I came away from it knowing a little more about world politics and terrorism than I did before. Plus it's a fun read -- Mitch Rapp is a CIA agent who kicks some serious butt, doing somethings a lot of us wish we could do. Talk about wish fulfillment! If you haven't read Flynn before, this is one to pick up. I enjoyed it more than the past few Clancy novels, I've got to admit. This writer is definitely one to watch.

Summary: Vince Flynn bests Tom Clancy, predicts future
Review: Just as he did in Separation of Power with Uday Hussein and the war on Iraq, Vince Flynn once again predicts the future by telling the story of a terrorist from the House of Saud and then days later seeing the real thing happen in Saudi Arabia. Not only that, but as with most of Flynn's amazing books, this one is suspenseful, yet not dissapointing. Mixing both conservative and liberal views, this book does not have the same violent passion for violence that Clancy's do. Also, unlike Clancy, Flynn makes the technical aspects of the military tools sound fun and exciting. Vince Flynn is back!! Buy this book and you won't regret it.
