Rating: Summary: Breaks down the elements Review: This book neatly breaks down the elements of a conversation and why you might be stuck. Everything is clumped into very small bites of information, very easy to absorb. If anything, this book might be overly simplified.
Rating: Summary: STANDING IN THE RAIN! Review: We have lived in our apartment for over three years. I just took out the trash even though it was raining. I heard a voice. "Hello?" "Hello?" I looked around. I saw a beautiful apparition above me. On the floor above us and on the balcony (no, like everyone else, we do not know our neighbors!). She said, "Oh. I was talking to someone on the phone." I didn't say anything to this brunette beauty. I just STOOD in the rain!!! After about five seconds, I walked to the trash. While doing so, I thought of a line. "If I knew we had such an attractive neighbor all these years, I would have behaved myself." She was still standing above while I was getting soaked. She had a cell phone. I said, "If I knew we had such an attractive neighbor, I would have misbehaved many years ago." I blew my line and turned into somekind of masher! Look ladies and gentlemen. Order this book and follow it. It tells you how to say stuff like, "It sure is raining hard." My copy is outdated and worn. I'm buying a new copy and putting it next to my sacred books. It may look funny, but it's indispensable (did I spell that right?). I have to re-read what I wrote for grammatical errors and then wipe the water from my glasses. BUY THE BOOK!
Rating: Summary: Short, but includes some good tips... Review: While I can only imagine how much good information I missed by listening to the abridged version of this book, I nonetheless appreciated its brevity since I listened to it during the drive to work. I agree with the other readers that this book seems geared more towards the "pick-up" than business situations, but I did get a few good tips out of it. I actually used these "tips" when I arrived at work and was pleasantly surprised at the responses I received. In essence, what this book offers is common sense tips that you probably already know, but just haven't yet internalized. Once you accept and use them, you'll recognize their value. Because the audiobook is so brief, I too would recommend buying the book and reading it as opposed to listening to it. But if you really don't have the time to read, you can pick up a few good tips while listening.
