Summary: What an AWESOME read!
Review: What an amazing book this is! Jennifer Weiner is a fantastic author and she has definitely done it again. I highly recommend this book to anyone with a close sister, cousin, or best friend. Thank goodness for books like this one!

Summary: A Fabulous Read!
Review: This was a great read! It's about two sisters, Rose and Maggie, who are nothing alike except for their eye color and blood lines. Rose is the responsible sister. Maggie is the care-free, jobless, party girl with a learning disability. They lost their mother as children and equally hate their step-mother. Once Maggie ruins both her and Rose's life, they are able to grow and become new women... women they didn't expect to become. Throughout the story, you learn about their long, lost maternal grandmother. It's great how all three of thier lives become so interwoven!

Summary: A great second outing for Weiner!
Review: Good In Bed was so wonderfully written and I could not wait to pick up the next book by Jennifer Weiner. I was not disappointed! The characters in this novel are so easy to relate to and so quick to capture your imagination and heart. Rose and Maggie are typical sisters, different in nearly every imaginable way, yet glued together by that uncontrolable bond we call Sisterhood. I found myself laughing and crying along with their adventures. Excited for their adventures, and saddened when life tripped them up.

While I must admit, it took a couple chapters to adjust to the writing style of every chapter being from a different character's perspective, it became the very fabric of the story. This writing style allowed Weiner to tell the story of the long-lost grandmother, along with the two sisters, and pull them all together beautifully. Weiner even throws in a hidden treasure by having Cannie, Joy, and Nifkin make a cameo in the book. So well down, it fit right into the storyline.

A gem of a book that I will recommend again and again to friends.

Summary: SIster Politics
Review: I loved this book! Anyone who has a sister will be able to relate to the complex roles we play when dealing with our sister(s). Though the book deals with a complex relationship, you end up liking both sisters and rooting for both to succeed. Its a fun read--I flew through it! Enjoy this and then pass it to your sister.

Summary: I loved this book!
Review: Wow, I couldn't disagree more with those who said that In Her Shoes wasn't as good as Good In Bed. I thought it was much, much better! Good In Bed was a light read with semi interesting characters. I found the characters in In Her Shoes much more complex and fascinating. I wanted to dislike Maggie but couldn't! Each character was so well written and the story came together beautifully. This is one of the best books I've ever read.

Summary: It was ok..
Review: This book was nothing like Good In Bed ( Which I think is one of the best books ever written), this book just lacked something. I found myself skipping pages...skimmimg unitl I found the story line I was looking for. Some parts were cute and I fell in love with Rose's character, but I just couldnt get into it.

Summary: Not as good as first book
Review: I like Jennifer Weiner's writing but this book was not great at all. The challenges the characters faced were unrealistic. She could have dug deeper and made the characters more believeable. And the relationship with the long lost grandmother was anti-climatic. Better luck with Good in Bed. That bok was great.

Summary: Another wonderful book!
Review: Jennifer Weiner really surprised me. Although I think that this novel could have been written in less than 421 pages, Weiner really created a book with important questions. Do we really think that a person can put themselves in someone else's shoes? Do we really think that family members can really be friends? Do we ever want to admit our respective roles like Maggie (a screw-up), and Rose (a dull, straight arrow)? And, the biggest question of all, can we change our various forms of self-rejection and become more than we think we'll ever be? I'd also to thank the reviewer that recommended THE LOSERS' CLUB by Richard Perez. Worth every bit your time -- and money! Just wonderful books!

Summary: Good read, not as funny as "Good in Bed"
Review: This is a very good read, and once you start reading you can't put the book down. However, it is not funny like "Good in Bed", which I loved.
