Summary: Cannie Shapiro is my hero!
Review: When I first picked up the book "Good in Bed", I was expecting it to be a book about someone's sex life, boy was I in for a shock! My sister (who is still in high school) bought "Good in Bed" because her librarian told her she would like it. I'm really glad she did too!
Jennifer Weiner has a way of making every woman relate to Cannie Shapiro in some way. Whether it be the fact that she deals with her weight, her I could careless attitude, or her finally being able to find love in her life. One way or another, every woman who ever reads this book will connect and will be hooked until the end.
I read this book in less than 12 hours because I just didn't want to put it down. It's amazing to follow Cannie on her adventure of life.
Also, make sure you have some Kleenexes available towards the end.

Summary: An Effortless Read, Very Enjoyable
Review: Lets see if I can give a review without giving away the book. Well, this book was a fun read. I read it on the beach in about 2 days. The 375 pages go very quickly. The title is deceiving because the book doesn't have much to do about sex. The title of the book is the title of the main character's (Cannie) ex-boyfriend's magazine column. On the very first pages, you learn how Cannie just recently asked to take a break from her long term boyfriend Bruce. To her surprise, her best friend Samantha calls her up at work and asks her if she has read "Moxie" yet (that's the magazine that Bruce just got a job at). She proceeds to turn to the page his column is on and that day's article is called "Loving a Larger Woman." He writes about how he was so courageous for loving a fat girl. He said at one point that he never thought he would be a "chubby chaser." Of course she is humiliated. The rest of the book tells us what happens after she found out about his column. Of course, there is a lot happening in the story, but if I told you, would you really want to read the book for yourself?

The main characters are very enjoyable. The plot is not predictable. In fact, what the 2nd half of the story is about is probably nothing you would ever think it would be about! If you enjoy a fun book, then you will enjoy this book. I found myself thinking about the character even when I was not reading the book. That should tell you something. I recommend this novel, along with another enjoyable but odd "romance" called The Losers' Club by Richard Perez.
