Review: I loved this book! I haven't read many novels lately but this was a terrific romp!! I found it hard to put it down-finished in a weekend with no problem. Jennifer Weiner is a bright, funny author with a great sense of character development. I'll be anxiously awaiting her next book

Review: I found myself engrossed in this book. I couldn't get it out of my mind for days after FINISHING it! It's well-written & easy to follow. The author described the characters well enough to give the reader a mental picture of each person. And, since the lead character is overweight, it's easy for many people to relate to her.

Review: Not what you expect from the title. Is this going to be some cheesy, gaudy novel not living up to the Sex in the City prototype? No! No! No! Cannie, our hero, is immediately vibrant and sympathetic. Yes, this is an entertaining story, but its sneakily uplifting, too. I could not believe the events, the incredible misfortune, and the wonderful luck. If the story did not revolve around such a witty, endearing character, it could have been a soap opera. But, Weiner walks the line beautifully. The story lulls you in while it's wildly funny, so, when tragedy surprises everyone, you feel the hurt and the outrage, too. I admit it. I cried. It was the kind of sweeping cry that makes you feel clean when you've finished. By the end, I was smiling again (mistily, I'm afraid). Is this really a first novel? Please write more. Many more.

Review: I loved this book. Jennifer Weiner's style of writing was like listening to my best friend every time I opened the book. It was funny, smart, but in places very sad. I couldn't believe this was her first novel. I can't wait for her next one.

Summary: Funny, poignant and truly entertaining
Review: Good In Bed hit the spot. The main character is very well written, with a mixture of gifts and flaws like the rest of us. The people around her, some more believable than others but still feel real. I was immediately drawn in by the story line and how it unfolded in front of me. She goes through the events in her life trying to keep a sense of humor, sometimes succeeding other times not. I was sorry when I finished the book, I wanted it to go on a little longer. It's a great summer read.

Summary: WOW!!!
Review: This book is wonderful. I started reading it Friday night and read all day Saturday so I could finish it. Cannie is a great character. I knew from the beginning that she was beautiful and loved and did not realize it. Because of this, the plot was a little predictable the reader knows early on that she will discover herself. But, I did not care. The "twist" in the middle was quite a surprise. I am a 32 year old Jewish female and it seems, Cannie and I may know some of the same people. Jennifer Weiner is a great author. I am waiting anxiously for her second book.
